Description

It was a lot of fun makin this one... especially sampling and slicing the music and drums.
Lyrics are pretty cool... voice is better but still needs work ;)
Is a WIP, will finish it later. Thats why its so short.

	Love the intro to this. Great sounds. The beats are excellent, love the bass drum. The vocal sounds good, but a little low in the mix. The panned, doubled vocal on the refrain is right up there, and sounds good, though. What mic are you using? I look forward to hearing what else you do with this. Very cool. Peace. good to hear some feedback on this track man! Glad ya like it. I do too.

The problem I had was that for some reason I have a tendency to speak quieter near the end of each verse... either that or the mike "drifts" from my mouth... maybe a stand would work good.
I am using a Sony ECM-939LT mike, and for the verse part, I put a thin sock over it to keep the pops down. Thats why it doesn't sound as clear in the verse. (and also I dont have any pantyhose layin around...) I guess the sock was a little thick.

I used to use a Sony ECM mic (one of my earlier recording setups involved that mic pushed through a MiniDisc player and on into iMic and then into my Powerbook - hey, it worked!) and while I liked it a lot, I did find it a little over-sensitive or something, and I ended up with a lot of pops. I also had trouble if I was holding the mic, too; I could never get the distance right. I now use a Shure SM58 (and I got a stand and a pop guard) and i find it a lot easier to get the sound I want (now if only I could get my singing better!)

I am noticing that this mike is sensitive to pops, and I actually find it insensitive to actual sound... (I have to practically touch it to my mouth for it to pick up right). And that's with all gain turned up. Replaced that little battery in it too...

and thanks for the comments about my skill. I actually think I'm not that good, but hey, I can work on it.
