Description:
This is from my first home produced album. Tell Me.

This was recorded on a korg d888, using only a very old... yamaha keyboard and a mic. I thought it was pretty professional until I found Garageband... hahaha....

Lyrics:
No I Did Not Cry That Night.

You told me you had a new friend,
He was the best you've ever had.
I did not know what to say.

I told you that it was pretty cool,
Hope'n to play the fool.
Hope'n my pain did not show.

Chorus:
No I did not cry,
when you said good bye.
No I did not cry that night.

As I walked you to the door,
I knew our love was no more.
I gave you everything to soon.

There was nothing left for me
Nothing left for me to do,
I knew that it was all through.

Chorus.
x2

You still have your best friend,
and he's still the best you've had.
I still don't know what to say.

I still tell you it's pretty cool,
still hope'in to play the fool.
Still hope'in my pain doesn't show.

No I'm still crying,
because you said your goodbye'n
Yes I'm still crying tonight.

No I...
I'm still cryin.....

The next buy is a good mic for GB. Anyone have any opinions?

Pretty cool... &mdash 07/15/08 - 01:28:13 PM
...indeed!

Real nice vocal on this. The production does sound a little dated (synthesized). But it's a good song - has a nice "swing' to it and sounds nice an clear and balanced.

Good stuff!

This is really good. &mdash 07/15/08 - 01:56:14 PM
You have a nice smooth voice, and it suits the musical style perfectly. Nice deep mix, good build at the end. I liked the backing vocals on the chorus, and the reverb/echo thing at the end. The lyrics express very simply the kind of pain that many people have experienced. Nicely done.

I'd love to listen and vote, but every time I try to listen to this it doesn't play using either MJ player. If I try it a second time, Safari crashes. Not sure what the problem is - maybe I'll try a different browser (or MJ2 Beta).

.. it plays just fine for me .... very nice job on the harmonies .... (I'm a sucker for those) .... reminds me a little of another MJers vocal style (especially the harmonies and the chorus parts) .. you might wanna check out his stuff (Leon) .... this was a nice listen.

American Idol came too late for you? You could have won.
I love harmonies and male and female voices together. Is that Stephanie? Thanks.
