More on Buddhism First sorry for the lack of info on the subject. I am using this more as a host for the mp3s file to be mainly used for brazilians. I keep a blog - Buda na Web http://www.budanaweb.blogspot.com/ about Nicheren Daishonin Buddhism, which I practice. For more info in English look for SGI, they are responsible for Buddhism reaching 192 countries. I've pick up this file there. So, as you've asked, the words are: Nam Myoho Rengue Kyo and they matter and don't at the same time. It have many translations as a sentence, as well by each of it's words. It's the name of the Mistic Law of cause and efect, and at the same time, myoho rengue kyo is the title of the Sakyamuni's Lotus Sutra. Nam, is short for Namu, which means to devote one self. Myoho is the Mistic Law. Rengue is Lotus Flower as well it means Cause and Effect law, because it has the seed (cause) and the flower (effect) at the same time. Kyo is the teachings, the knowlodge os Buddha, or your life itself, because everyone has the Buddha inside. Buddha means the enlighted one. So a very free translation would be: To devote on self to the Teachings and Knolwlodge of Buddha about the Mistic Law of Cause and Effect. We all can reach elightment here, right now, if we chant the Mistic Law of Nam myoho rengue kyo, twice a day for some minutes. Well...that's the basics of Nitiren Buddhism, which have as the main goal to promote a personal revolution towards changes to a a better, wiser and happier person. CeXa, is that you chanting? A few words in the description would be appreciated, since most of us here do not know anything about Buddhist chant. What are the words and could you provide an English translation? Or do the words even matter? By the way, I modified a version of the Nichiren Morning Chant that you might be interested in, if you want to check out my page. I would like to get your opinion. Thanks for posting this.
