this one is not about production, not about technique, not about perfection...it's about emotions, specifically sadness

had just finished a long discussion w/ one of our best friends in NC, his life partner is my music muse and occasional co-composer...Scott (my muse and half of Lefty She Swills, to the point that he came up w/ the name) is very much responsible for me getting heavy back into my music...it's one thing to practice every day, but he has gotten me to take notes and compose as well as send me noodling projects out of his head.

He is in the hospital right now w/ fungal meningitis and we almost lost him 2 weeks ago. So, to offset the tears of sadness and fear, I picked up the guitar...well, it kinda backfired, by the time I was done, I was bawling my eyes out...but damn, it felt good

Nice! &mdash 07/20/08 - 08:25:00 PM
It remind me of a Latin song called "En Algun Lugar" by Heroes del Silencio. You did a great job. I like the overall feel of this song

Sounds like it's singing. Nice melody. Cool tune.

Not so sad, though.

Strong guitar lines &mdash 07/23/08 - 11:53:09 AM
I hear a lot of strength in your playing - not loss - but hope. Really well done - the growing backing track is very effective

Emotional... &mdash 07/23/08 - 03:56:51 PM
...but it didn't make me feel sad. It's actually a comforting kind of melody. Like a helping hand...

Very nice concept and playing Eddie. Kudos my friend!

Be well!

Sorry about your buddy. &mdash 07/29/08 - 09:45:56 AM
You are amazing. If I was a young shiksa I'd be your groupie. What the hell, sign me on. Love the orchestration in the end. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, you delighted me with that. Thanks, Eddie.
