Description:
i am reposting this with a much cleaner mix

Lyrics:
start here at the airport
feels like im going blind
middle of the day in a dark bar
1000 miles away from peace of mind
im tring to remember
when i was a kid
did the sun set in my back yard
i think it did

what comes before and goes on after

long hair or short hair
but always intense
the only thing thats goint to suffer
is on the other side of the fence
its snowing in moline
every ones asleep
the planes waiting on the paddock
and a feeling starts to creep
somewhere over milwalkee
some tears escape my eye
rolls down my cheek
a little baby cries

what comes before and goes on after

i can see my father
a drink in his hand
sun setting behind him
on our acre of land
when we going to eat i ask
im only about ten
he looks at his glass and he says
two more inches

you should have the picture
of him rising from the dead
no order , no rhyme, no reason
it was everything he said
empty bed five feet up off the floor
im missing all the laughter
i just cant open that door
ill try to keep my family happy as
spring hits the air

i can see my father
a drink in his hand
sun setting behind him
on our acre of land
when we going to eat i ask
im only about ten
he looks at his glass and he says
two more inches

It sounds really nice now. Can't really identify other things I'd change!

Nice job!

Always liked this one &mdash 07/18/08 - 10:45:10 AM
This sounds great and frames the poetry and the poetry's delivery well. Like a dream sequence from a great movie. I like the harmonies on "What goes on before...." part; especially nice; a counter to the effective dissonance of the verse. Though it doesn't sound anything like him, it reminds me of the way Sting would write a melody line, and I always liked the way he did that. Good job Tim.

Very avant garde! &mdash 07/18/08 - 08:40:00 PM
There's a lot going on here still, and there's a great push and pull in the sonic landscape. It reminds me of the painter Hans Hoffman.

That's cool that little kid's voice saying "daddy..." at the end.

It's pretty woozy!

And in comparison &mdash 07/19/08 - 06:42:58 AM
to the first version, the vocals in the chorus really do stand out more in this version. There's still a little bit where a word here and there gets lost, but that has to do with your delivery of some bits a little off-handedly. It's very stylized and stylish. Interesting. It is a lot clearer version.

Loved this &mdash 07/19/08 - 07:29:11 AM
the first time - fantastic song. Just re-listened to the first one again too and, as you say, the mix is indeed a lot cleaner.
Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len
