Description:
Ladies and Gentlemen ..was a fantastic experience
on this EKNM MJ Challenge marvelous music and all
here I m posting the Finale piece to close this
wonderful gathering fest ...with a piece that has
a vision for what simple orchestration was at the
early renaissance era but then I tried to benefot
from what I gained from the Baroque ...so this piece
I wrote this back in 1990 or so I revisited and
re orchestrated it for this fest ...I wish I succeed
with anything I ve tried to let the listerner feel
the seperation and the position of the soloisits
and orchestra somehow close to the pic I poste here
sure not like the modern orchestra ...anyhoo ...
thank you all for participating and commenting on
this wonderfull fest realy was a nice experience ..

to the majestic Kings' court entries. I enjoyed listening to these, and didn't even try to compose one- I might have finished sometime next year. This sounds good, my friend. I think the ending of this piece is perfect for the close of the challenge. :-)

"a pox on thy garboils though rhiggish ninny"! -Oh - don't ask me,- I just made it up though it does sound like something that might have been said in England in this period.........Anyway, to the music,- Very fitting and in vogue, I love this stuff and am inspired to put something together myself. Good work Feter and very cultured with definite form. Most acceptable.

You are the master when it comes to the classical music genres. This one is really balanced and very enjoyable. The ending with the cymbal works nicely to conclude it. I always have trouble working with endings but you finished it very well and simple. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to hear your future songs :)

I found this song is quite an interesting experimentation of combining the 2 styles together. Its quite a lovely song!

I took a course many moons ago in music history for a semester in Jr college which I found interesting. Others found it to be boring. I guess I am the odd ball LOL. I do recall the Renaissance period had a very strict structure to it where music was to played ONLY in combinations of 4ths and 5ths. (The Gregorian Chant is perfect example of this time period.) Back in those days playing music in 3rds were considered secular and Satanic! (Today's music would really be sending us all to hell!)

The Baroque period had lot of heavy continous bass throughout the peices call "Basso Continuo" like in Vivadi's 4 Seasons.

I hope I am not boring people with this stuff I just thought it would help them understand the music from those times and when they listen to this lovely song. visualizing the 2 time periods combined.
