Description:
I was listening to another mac jammer Micheal Wark's "Hollowed Out" and how he has been feeling about the loss of his mother, and it triggered a memory.

I was 14 and my father was living in Ponca City, Oklahoma which is about an hour from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I went to visit him (was the last time I saw him alive.) I remembered he had one of those older houses with a large front porch, and we just sat and listen to the rain. I was playing a tune on the cassette player from A-ha, "Living a Boys Adventure Tale." My father didn't much care for it, but he was happy that I was happy.

I was just remembering the rain.....

Sax seems out of place
The Irish flute (or Indian?) in the outset it marvelous, as are the ambient surges of natural sounds mix in with synth washes. The sax, by comparison, does not have the life, personality, depth of EQ or sense of stereo that the other sounds have. Is that a real flute, by the way? Lovely.

Sax...
The sax was suppost to be more like the sax solo in Tina Turners "We Don't Need Another Hero", however the sax in BG really sucks so I had to bury in in the mix so I could get that ghostly feel.

The Flute is actually from AMG's Instrument Pack.

A Stormy Dream
wow, I LOVE that note bending flute that starts things off - so ethereal, really draws me in. The general mood and expansiveness of this piece is just terrific - thanks!

Stormy Dream
Truly beautiful opening with the rain, synths and flute. Whatever, however, where-ever you got that flute sound and the way you composed it - gorgeous. I'm really not a big fan of sax sounds in general and I agree with Tobin on this - it doesn't fit with the atmosphere of the song for me. My only other suggestion would be to maybe add a little echoey, way in the back lower percussion to add some depth to those great atmospheric sounds you've got going. Like a bodhran or native american sounding drum. Nothing steady and constant, but occasional. Anyway, this is a beautiful memory. Thanks for sharing it.

A Stormy Dream
Sounds very forlorn and 'Absolutely Beaurtiful' at the same time.
I loved it. There was nothing in it, that I did not like the sound of.
It sounded sooo sweet.
It ebbed and flowed really well. Thank you for sharing
