umm...Another release without lyrics and melody.. and a few mistakes on the bass..and some over playing on guitar at times. I will work on the melody and Ill sing something...Unless some has a better idea than me...

Another interesting idea. I can hear the ballroom melody and feel that somehow this guy is going to have trouble making his connections with the ladies :) there's a touch of sadness in the tune.

What would help this recording most dramatically and quickly, is to simply correct the mistakes, mostly in rhythm and time. At places you seem ahead of yourself and others behind. Correcting those things will tighten this whole thing up, and make it sound more 'professional'. I say easy with a question mark, because mistake-free playing is one of the hardest parts of recording, imho. Come check out some of my stuff, and you'll hear what I'm talking about... lol. I think it's actually a pretty interesting tune in general, and the start of something that could be really good, but the time issues make it hard to listen to at times. I'd love to hear a 'tightened' version of this song. [ Reply to This ]

Yes I agree with the timing issue.. All my songs here are just demos. 4 takes at the most. Ill come up with an Idea. And just jot it down fast and then go to the real studio with the idea. And its funny because in the band Im in, I demand good timimg. I even practice with a click track. But you are 100% right.. Ill work on this and maybe if I dont go out on the boat real soon ...Ill redo this one!!!

If I remember. I just used the Yamaha 12 string with no fx.
Just changed the volumes between the two or three tracks.

to this. The rhythm feels like it's bordering close to reggae. I wonder if with a slight alteration it could tip over into a really catchy reggae feel. (It's probably just me - I really like catchy reggae things.)

with the drums and bass ..all so cool ..I kinda

This tune is crying out (in "wah" fashion) for full development. You're off to a great start. Love the sound on the guitar and the arrangement is really nice.

Like what's going on here. I really like the bass, sounds great. In my opinion, a 6-string might have sounded better for the rhythm.
But, I do think this is a very cool tune.

it has an awkward, movie soundtrack feel to it. tips on recording are silly, to an old pro like you.. if i wanted to do one thing, it would be to get more bottom end in the bass. but, small potatoes here. great post!
