Description:
I was looking for something to write about.... so I asked my daughter what I should write about and she said "Rainbows". So that's what I wrote about....
All music was written and arranged by me, and Trinka and I spit vocal duties on this one as well....

This is another tune from our debut which will be coming out later this year....

Lyrics:
A Symbol Of The Promise
Music and Lyrics by: Ian Baird

They only come out after the rain
Translucent colours bend the shine

To see them at night would mean all is inside out
Everyday God makes the prism hold you so high

A symbol of the promise, handed down to Noah
Common and understated, stormy and orchestrated
Genesis for the dreams of children
The Backdrop to love at play
Singing to us of tomorrow
That’s what it means to me
(chorus repeats again after the breakdown)

Now tell me what it means to you
I wanna see them through your eyes
Do they make you dream in sparkle
I love it when they make you smile

Awsome song
Children can be great for inspiration it seems... Good luck with the debut, I'm sure it's gonna be great.

This is
a fantastic track - vocal harmonies are awesome and the whole production top notch.
It's like a modern day 'Yes'.
Cheers

Very cool
I enjoyed this a lot. Different and infectious. I will point out it is very heavy on the bottom mix wise, on both my monitors and headphones. I imagine you already know that. I like that it is, but it needs to be cleaned up a bit, sounds a little muddy to my ears. Just sayin is all lol.

to be honest
the intent of the low end is to make it sound as if your cones are about to blow....so it is intended.... thanks though for your input bro....peace...Ian

dream in sparkle
absolutely lost myself in this. The bass and synth work just undulates under the textured vocals. You have a great sound. More please

great lyrics.
bass tone to die for. great song all around. kept me interested the whole time. very pro production.

can't really complain about anything. maybe i'll just mention a couple things i might have tried in the mix. maybe pan the bg(s) a bit. doesn't have to be all the time. i don't know... it just sounded a little mono to me. only other thing could be construed as a mastering thing, but it could use a bit more high-end sparkle overall. (is this the guy from springclock?)

Very Beatlesque melodiy
Lovely harmonies - although I agree with The Meaning's comment about panning the harmonies out a little. Very busy sound, a little overwhelming at times. "Muddy" maybe.
I'd love to hear more of the vocals, but I'm sure lots of people would love it just the way it is.
