Lyrics:
I went down to CheltenhamTo meet my MacJams friends
When we get together
The music never ends
The only rule is to have some fun
And write the lyrics on the run
We should do this every year
Spending time with everyone
We can choose the songs we sing
While drinking beer and everything
We travel from across the land
And form ourselves into a band
Sitting in the living room
This really feels like being home
The only rule is to have some fun
And write the lyrics on the run
We should do this every year
Spending time with everyone
Leaving here is hard for me
But pictures kept and memories
Are all the things that I will keep
Close to me
At Caroline's House of Shiny Lights
We'll be singing through the night
Wish that we could all stay here
But we'll be back again next year
The only rule is to have some fun
And write the lyrics on the run
We will do this every year
Spending time with everyone

I can tell the effort here to deliver a more 'serious' approach to the fun you had. Yet it remains a stamp in time, good time for the gathering.

...of the one's we recorded. It has a really nice early Fairport kinda feel to it. Great 'mock bodhran' from Rebsie there. Glad we've got it here now for posterity!
Look forward to next year's meet up
Cheers

you go all serious.
Lovely sound. As Steve said, early Fairport.
Even some fledgling harmonies and neat noodling (JC?)
Cheers

wow - this one is amazing! Kind of heartfelt, the instruments are really coming through - nice drumming whoever is going that (and on what) - very sweet MJ song - should be MJ theme music. Thanks guys
