Description:
This is a song about one of my daughters who loves the Texas beaches and surf.
Lyrics:
She’s in search for an answers to find some peace of mindThis rat race has got her all caught up inside
Looking for solutions Monday could be Sunday afternoon
Got to find a ride make her way outside...
She’s in no hurry watching all the people as they pass
The water slaps the sand and then it pulls her back again...
She hears the coast She hears the seagulls
She feels the breeze the clouds go by
The palm trees sway and her feet dig deep in sand...
The sun beats down her skin turns darker as It starts to tan
Has not a care a drink cools down the inside of her hand...
She hears the coast She hears the seagulls
She feels the breeze the clouds go by
The palm trees sway and her feet dig deep in sand...
The day grows short she hasn’t really given it much thought
She shuts her eyes and now her mind begins to wonder off...
She hears the coast She hears the seagulls
She feels the breeze the clouds go by
The palm trees sway and her feet dig deep in sand...

I remember a few Spring Breaks down in South Padre. (2003 comes to mind as a memorable one) ;-)
Naturally, I had to check out your song based on the title.
I like the outro with the beach sounds.
I also LOVE the guitar solo.
I'm a big fan of twin guitars playing harmonies.
Very mellow and relaxing with a hauntingly beautiful chord progression.
Is the picture your daughter at the beach?
Cheers,
John

Thanks for the comments. No... that's not a picture of my daughter or a family member for that matter. just me messing around with some pictures I downloaded.

This paints a beautiful picture in my mind. I'll have to check this place out some day. Love the guitars in this. Very well done.

Thanks for dropping by. I plan on moving down there when I retire. Always a pleasure to read your comments.

Some sweet guitar's love it. Kind of a Latin beat tapping in the back sets a great mood for this story. Fine lyrics and nice vocals. Enjoyed.
Thanks, Russ

There is a longer story behind the song. I'm glad you liked the release.

All the things that were so good about the last post are still here, But now the guitar sounds total cool and fits the song perfectly. The bongo has been tamed and now sounds like it's were it should be in the mix.
You did a great job on this new mix John, Kudos for fine job my friend.
It's a great song John, I'm putting it on my iPod in the favorites section. Thanks

on the mix. I think it does bring out the guitar better on this run. I also appreciate your kind words as always.

nice story. I'm tempted to run through the sprinkler to cool off from the heat wave,
the guitars and solo sound great. There is a slight touch of Mark Knoffler guitar playing in this or it seem to me. That's a good thing. I also like the percussion to this.
TEXASFEEL
Thanks for stopping by, I'll have to check this Mark guy out. I'm glad you enjoyed this.

posted in 1 week- that must be a macjams record! I really like the way you put this together. The percussion sounds real(maybe it is).The guitar work is great, the harmonized solo is a perfect touch.Your vocal is excellent.
TEXASFEEL
and was impressed when I heard your song. I noticed you were posting some great vids in the forum of Brazilian artists here lately. It shows that you really did your home work. I was hoping you would drop by and take a listen to this song as well. Thanks so much for the kind words.

definetly a superb rock progressive acid ..loved
the perccussions you based the song on ..very much
classic sound into it here my friend ...the guitar
touches here and there just impressive as accurate
as they are ...vocal top work as well ..this is
just amazing ...KUDOS !!!!!

Your to kind as always. I have to admit this was a repost. I re-mastered and tweaked the mix from Logic Express to Logic Pro. The drums were a manipulated midi track that I found in my Logic Express Jam Packs. I slowed them down to 60 bpm.

...love this, John. Texas Bossa Nova...it's really, really sweet. Then that beautiful solo...great sound and choice notes...
Great piece, man...I love the beach and you've got it, here...

I liked this when you first posted it John. I have to say that this version is vastly better, especially in the vocals dept. Lovely solo/duet.
Really nice production, playing and vocals - also really like the song itself. This has warmed me up on our coldest winter day yet John.
I'm unsure now, but this is a repost isn't it?
The beach fx at the end spoiled it a bit for me I have to say - too loud and un-relaxing.
Terrific song though!
