Description:
After receiving some comments about poor vocal mix on this one, I had a look in my home recording for dummies book and tried a couple of things.
EQ- boost at 150 hz for fullness, boost at 5 kHz for presence (whatever that is, but it sounds good). added some kind of reverb presets, changed compression preset on vocal , added another compression preset to the whole thing. and fiddled with levels some.

Didn't sound too much different to me, perhaps marginally better?
strongly suspect a case of trying to make a proverbial silk purse out of the proverbial sow's arse, i.e. I ain't no rapper.

any comments on vocal mixing or mixing in general, much appreciated.

I'm not a raper so I can't give u any advice about the voice thing... But I like what you've done w/Michael's beat track and the mix sounds cool in my ears... Cheers

First off, thanks for listening and commenting - always appreciated. I don't consider myself a rapper either, but it was fun to try.

I would make sure to spell rapper with two "P's" as otherwise people might think you're referring to someone who commits sexual assaults. (At least you said you're not one...) (^_^)

Better Relic, this sounds like it should. Got a bit of the Fresh Prince flair to the rhyme and delivery. This is very good. Nice remix.
