Assimilation (The Android Mix)

Description
The year is 2230, industry has perfected the artificial life form, Machine, in the Image of Man, and this piece of background music is playing whilst the android is being shown as components leading up to the completed Biological Input Output System (BIOS), from putting the hardware and mechanical pieces together, filling the hydraulic systems with fluid, for movement, and finally programming all the 'knowledge' into the brain of the construct.

It is meant to be background to the action, so maybe keep the volume down somewhat.

I've tried to add various sounds that add to the music and also add a musical box-type melody, slightly chaotic.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I'm also putting together a document on how I go about making a mix such as this. It is about half done and will hopefully be complete by this coming weekend.

Hi Karen.....
I actually enjoyed putting this one together. I had moved most of my music making kit to a new laptop and this was one of three pieces that came out of my first tweakings under Windoze Vista.

I tried to imagine the android being put together layer by layer and with each layer being different in function and texture I layered the sounds to try and depict this.

Glad you stopped by.

Take care.

Mysterious

Love the dissonant notes mood .
You stayed close to the main idea , it's nice how it moves
around these notes .

Hi Henri...
Thanks for listening to this piece and finding that the contents didn't move to much away from the description.

Take care.

This is...
...awesome, Paul. Your description is perfectly executed in the music you've created. The tinkly bells throughout are soothing and give the whole number some cohesion. You are doing some wonderful work and I will look forward to the article about how you go about all of this.
Peace.

Hi Paul.....
I actually had some ideas for what this piece would try to depict BEFORE I started building the soundscape, layer by layer so I'm happy that yourself and others can also picture my intent.

The document on how I go about putting one of my soundscapes together is coming together nicely, so all I have to do is find out how to post it, as a link for people to click on or within a forum entry.

As always thanks for your suggestions and encouragement.

Take care.

this is great, love the weird rhythm, and the scattered instruments playing kind of off. i know i said that the last song i commented on was my fave so far, but now i'm going to have to amend that statement. top notch.

Hi Michael....
I value your feedback and suggestions. I am also happy that you thought that this mix was even better than my last one. That has to spur me on to even more work of this kind.

Currently I'm checking out various host programs for plugins and finding out if they help or hinder my workflow. Bidule is another contender for putting this (and any) type of soundscape together, with the only restrictions seemingly your imagination and computer processing power.

Take care.

First rate
This is first rate! I really like it. It creates a spacey atmosphere but one with a kind of manic energy%u2026 really well done!

I enjoy creating music using computers and 'synthesized' as opposed to 'real' instruments. I have no problem using samples/loops in my music. Everyone does this every time they work with a track. I don't fit in any box and thoroughly enjoy working ou... [see more]
