Merrily Kissed The Quaker / Cunla

Description
Two traditionnal irish jigs chained in this piece like Pierre Bensusan did in his second album.
I play it in the original DADGAD tuning (capo 4) on an irish guitar : my wonderful Lowden S22.

Merrily Kissed
what wonderful guitar pickin' here - love both of these jigs, and I'm thinking you're not even kidding about the Lowden? If so - double amazing! You make this sound effortless - I play just enough guitar to know it's actually impossible!

Thank you very much. I do my best to hide the efforts (which are real, you can trust me ;-))
Of course I'm not kidding ;-) This guitar is mine for 29 years... and I can't play on another one !

hi
Excellent picking and a very good recorded sound (even for a great guitar like yours). I really like the solid time keeping of the thumb picked bass and how the melody on the higher strings dances round it.
More please!

wonderful memories...
Oh god you made my day Jean-Christophe! The last time I heard Merrily kissed was 4 years ago in Miltown Malbay in Ireland on a Willie Clancy week. I have completely forgotten about this tune! How great!
Your playing is truly wonderful :) Huts off.
More of these please... :)

This is an old tune... I heard it for the first time on Pierre Bensusan's first album. This is (almost) how he played it but I arranged the end my way.
I'm happy you had a good time listening to it :-)
