Lyrics:
The way is as clear as darkest night
But I can't see what's outta sight
I listen hard to nothin' there

All o' my tattered shades are drawn
Some o' my friends have up an' gone
Life, it ain't no Irish Fair

[chorus]
Are you ready now for digging deep?
Are you game to climb the mighty heap?
Or would you rather do The Monkey Sleep?
Or would you rather do The Monkey Sleep?

Gotta move on to hyperspace
Get respect, make bold the chase
Dab oil on my rusty side

Free of circular reasoning,
my passion more than seasoning,
ready for a jetstream ride

[chorus]
Are you ready now for digging deep?
Are you game to climb the mighty heap?
Or would you rather do The Monkey Sleep?
Or would you rather do The Monkey Sleep?

James Bondo
"Dab oil on my rusty side." I am so glad I pulled that line out of my tool drawer. Heck, this was fun. Emilio was looking for a woman to sing something in the style of a James Bond theme song, but I caught a flyer and had to move with the groove. EZ did a great job mixing and tempering my overdriven vox. Plus he added fun little touches that suggest car chases and movement at night. This is secret agent synth-rock, to be sure! We hope to add "frantic tenor sax stabs" from Dadai at some time in the future.

BTW, what is a monkey sleep?

smooth
Some excellent singing by reshletty. The horns and strings are a great touch. I think that going into the first chorus It should have come in sooner like the second chorus besides that a great song all around

Thanks, Harold
Not anything. But it's nice to stretch a little. I have alwaus admired James Bond movie themes. My favorite was Goldfinger (Shirley Bassey). Least favorite was Live and Let Die by McCartney (Wings).

very nice....
the music bed is perfect for Richard's voice and his echoes are really haunting, almost like he's screaming at you, you turn and run away and there he is

is very James Bondlike!

would sound good in just about any good espionage movie

a very British feel to this tune

I am really liking this
