Description:
A smooth light jazz-R&B sort of thing here.
Update: A new, smoother and cleaner version: v2-BABY, BABY
Something to help get you and your lady in the mood for a night out or a quiet hour on the sofa with wine, incense and a trade magazine.
Jack Miller says, "The mix is good. Really nice. I am on board. Nice to know RT Cooper likes it. Rich, your vocals are smooth as silk. This is a nice change of pace for you -- 'Richard Schletty in a Mellow Mood.'"
Rich Schletty says, "Jack, I really love your tenor sax. It is so s m o o t h . So what about the lyrics I wrote for Baby, Baby? Too much? Adequate? Can you understand what I am singing? Is there a message there? I was just making it up as I went along. For a while I was trying to come up with words that sound phonetically like la da da..."
David Gómez Sanz says, "I just played soft jazz solos inspired by the music. I really like the groove of this song. It´s very nice to be improvising. I hope you like them and will be useful for your mix."

Lyrics:
Baby, Baby[refrain]
Baby, baby, you know that I love you
Baby, baby, you know that I want you
You're the sparkle in my daily grind
You're the one who helps me lose my mind
Some gotta lotta daughters, lotta sons
Let me be the father of your little ones
Let's take a walk along a country road
Let's climb a mountain with a lighter load
I wanna hold your hand and be your slave
Our love'll ripple like a tidal wave
[refrain]
Some gotta lotta dollars but little sense
We'll help each other climb that chain link fence
Our richest moments spent won't cost that much
Our greatest treasure in a simple touch
We're talking recipes for happiness
A little song and dance and a goodnight kiss
So time to do-da-do-wap-da-do-da-do-da-do
If you treat her right at na-na-na-na-night
[break with vocal scatting]
[refrain]

smooth as silk - wonderful vocals - this is just wonderful you guys - great collab - congratulations!
Ah, we highly regard your nod, Karen, as you know what it takes to entrance an audience in a real soundspace. We pretend as well as we can. We imagine ourselves being there and being non-square.
Alannah
.. this was a nice smooth listen ......
smooth. Thanks Alannah!!
Mr. Smooth ;)
A really cool listen. I liked it a lot. Great collab.
Peace Dee.

MUCH more "musical" Mx.
Might send to Jim Bouchard for any last tweak suggestions.
From here, the only thought is a Limiter on the Vocal ( 2.7, adjusted) to counter any spikes that cancel the Guitar and Sax in mid-phrase, keepig the Three Voices consistently interrelated.
Compliments and best regards,
Cooper
Much appreciated, my Boston sage. Yes, that voice always needs tempering, even when I sleep-snore. So glad you stopped by to listen and crit. Your earlier crit (via private wire) was well-regarded, also. Listening now to your Euro-produced 5-pack at ReverbNation. Thumpin barstools! Good stuff. It's all about creating the right headspaces.
Feter
Ahhhh ... perfetc just perfect ..this colab
amazing ...the duet singing just soo classic ..
the guitar work perfect as usual ...KUDOS !!!!
to have a comment from you, Feter. And so glad you like the vibe of this little light jazz tune. It came together rather quickly and certainly could be improved, but I like the feel of it and Rich really came through with some rich... silky vocals.
Best to you,
Jack

Very cool vocal and lyrics Richard, and the way all of you worked on this to put it together made it sound full and complete. Has a nice smooth feel to it that kind of sways.
Love the Sax part Jack put down and David hit all the bases on the Guitar parts.
A different but very cool collab which I really enjoyed.
Thanks for sharing it,
Ed

I like the laid back vibe and the smooth feel. There are lots of things I'd do differently, but this works fine as is. A very mellow sound on a very mellow tune.
Cheers,
Neil
Neil,
I'd be interested in what thoughts you have that you are referring to as to how you'd do things differently, especially anything stylistically or arrangement-wise. This song can go in a number of different directions, so chime in with more if you're inclined. Thanks!
Jack

David... kudos on your guitar licks and additions. You are talented guitar player. Thanks for again jumping in with us.
