Description:
This is a song that I made for my Granny's Funeral August 4, 2007 some of the strings are loops and the piano is live... My granny was my best friend and Fan, so when I did the eulogy I didn't want people crying though it was sad that we were gonna miss her, but we celebrated her life that day. Everyone had a good laugh about the stories I told and some of the secrets I let them in on. My life has not been the same since she has been elevated to my guardian angel and my life would have never been as rewarding without her. The song is a phone message she left my mother, after her and I had just had a few laughs on the phone. My mothers answering machine is a tape and normally cuts off after 15 seconds but it only cut my granny off after almost 4 minutes... So this was really her last gift to me and I shared with my family and now the world. And yes I sent my Granny clothes, shoes and food, but she was very independent and insisted on living on her own, which we had to respect. And yes most of what we sent she would share with whoever needed it, which is partly why I help with the homeless so much, not only because I have been blessed but that she also taught us to do so. In case you haven't figured it out yes I am the grandson and she has never called me by my real name ever I have always been called "the grandson" and everyone called her "Granny" So today to me is National Granny day which is actually her birthday, so for me go hug your Granny or grandmother or some sweet Old Lady and tell her happy granny's day (this is different than grandparents day) This mix is not that good because of the source and I was not at my studio when I made it nor really in my right mind to care about the mix... Love you Granny Her blessings begin August 9, 1920 and this life ended July 29, 2007 R.I.P But her blessings still continue... Grandson Hardware:
