Hi Great picking and slide work - such a clean sound. So many variations keep the interest going form start to finish. I didn't hear the version with dogs barking and cop sirens but it can't be better than this so this version gets my vote. The movement of the guitar between microphones (or software panning maybe?) at about 3.18 and near the end make for a cool effect. Slip and Slide! Yes, I like it like that! Very nice slippin and sliding! Superb controlled tone on the high slide notes. Betsy is being a very good girl indeed! Without the hounds... ...it's even more apparent that this is a great performance and a great recording... One of those ones in your repertoire that can be called 'Kottke-esque', taking nothing away from your originality in coming up with it...
