Loved it then... &mdash 08/13/08 - 05:31:30 PM
and love it now. Apart from the speed of this it's the slide guitar that gets me, giving out the feel, cheers M

Nice one Bill &mdash 08/14/08 - 10:18:05 PM
As always you pickin' is flawless and of course you have that special way to make a guitar sing, even about the dogs.

Nice track my friend, very much enjoyed this one. Kind of reminds me of some ole time country pickin' for the Mississippi delta.

Thanks for sharing this one Bill

Excellent playing - really suggests the energy of a pack of panting hunting dogs. Glad this track didn't have sound effects I think I would have found them distracting.

Nice one

Hi &mdash 08/18/08 - 06:43:46 AM
Great picking and slide work - such a clean sound. So many variations keep the interest going form start to finish. I didn't hear the version with dogs barking and cop sirens but it can't be better than this so this version gets my vote.
The movement of the guitar between microphones (or software panning maybe?) at about 3.18 and near the end make for a cool effect.
Brilliantly done
Steve

Slip and Slide! &mdash 08/18/08 - 07:01:22 PM
Yes, I like it like that! Very nice slippin and sliding! Superb controlled tone on the high slide notes. Betsy is being a very good girl indeed! This is where you show your many hours of practice in your ability to play so many notes, so fast but with unquestionable tone and clarity!

Without the hounds... &mdash 09/16/08 - 07:57:47 PM
...it's even more apparent that this is a great performance and a great recording...

One of those ones in your repertoire that can be called 'Kottke-esque', taking nothing away from your originality in coming up with it...

Nice steady drive complemented by those melodic lines on top and those cool pull-offs...

Ed
