Description:
Singing is a big problem for me and the primary reason I've gotten nothing accomplished for a long period of time.

This was something I wanted to do for awhile, but had difficulty creating balanced harmonies that didn't hog attention. Recording rain is difficult as I live next to a highway. This also gave me a chance to use so real percussion instead of drum loops which adds a little more life to a song. It still has some slight tempo issues that are a real pain to correct but I'm pretty happy with it for now.
August is through, Summer is over, and as always fall brings change.
Thanks for listening, I hope you enjoy.

I like it a lot! I kept waiting from your description for a voice to ring in.

I say do what I did... Just let it go and sing for the joy of singing, don't worry about what others say/think. Do it for yourself.

This piece deserves a soulful vocal. It is really a very nice work!

You've some talent. Sounds really great.
Just speak the lyrics if you're unsure about your singing.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. What I meant from the ambiguous description was that because I have trouble singing, I concentrated on a project that didn't require any. I thought here and there of putting some words to this but I think I'm liking it as a simple instrumental, although or course its up in the air. Really adding any sort of dominant tune to this seemed to draw too much attention away from what I considered it's decent qualities. However whatever criticism or input anyone has to offer is still greatly valued.

On the respect. I love that you kept it real. I like the tap and the acoustic? sounds very clean and clear. The string you added give it warmth and depth. A compelling piece of music. I say work it more add lyrics .I lke the way it builds and then falls back into the guitar. Sounds like a good rain storm BTW. Very cool enjoyed thanks for sharing.

Wonderful mood with or without any vocals. As LL suggested, perhaps just some spoken words would do.Good piece of work.

Nice song &mdash 08/16/08 - 03:38:20 PM
Yes, this song can stand without vocals, and with a different arrangement would benefit from vocals. If you don't feel comfortable singing have you cosidered collaborating. I don't think you have trouble finding someone because its a good song. =)

Great recording of the rain. For manual percussion, I have in the past done the whole track and then gone back and found the best sounding hits and used them rather than the original track.

Good guitar and your midi instruments cam in at a good time to keep it fresh. Vocals aren't everything. I'd prefer to listen to a beautiful sound filled track than hear someone singing to the same old chord progression anydday. keep it up!

When intstrumental music is as good as this words are not really needed

For what it's worth I thought it may have needed a little more bass tones beyond the start - but hey it's your music and if you're happy with it that's all all that matters

Cheers
