Description:
This is about the gaunt junkies that haunt Camden and the West End of London. I won't get on my soapbox about heroin, I'll just say that for every Keith Richards there's more than a thousand wasted individuals who are robbing their mums for another fix.
Lyrics:
Skeleton Jack wants some smackand he’ll do anything to get it.
Well, he wants to get clean
but the streets are mean
and somehow unforgiving
Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack
Can’t stop, must dash
Gotta get some cash
There’s a monkey needs a feeding
Gonna pimp my ass
For a bag of grass
Is there anything here worth stealing?
Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you
All I wanted to be
was like Lou Reed
well he gave it so much glamour
but the word going down
in Camden Town
is 6 months in the slammer
Skeleton Jack
Skeleton Jack
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you
You become the drug
and the drug becomes you

All I can say Is my best friend died of a heroin overdose. It hit me hard, Its true the draw of the underground cool musician on smack seems appealing but few realize that heroin is a drug that has taken down the strongest .. Dont matter what social standing you come from it can consume you like a fire and if you can t kick it like 99% of all junkies it will kick you.. Thanks for this song!

Catchy tune carrying a serious message. Very nicely done - like it a lot.

song and performance with great lyrics too.... such a 'clean' sound on all fronts despite the subject. It's quite relevant to me at the moment, as someone I know has really gone over the top because of drink and smoke and it's kicking him now big time, cheers M

Quite impressed with your diction of how you get such great flavor in melody in lyrics, beat, guitar the works.
Great pop - rock singing I must say! Quite an infectious rock tune.
Way to go KB!

Love the song. I've never met a Keith Richards, but I have met a few addicts and Heroin does turn them into skeletons who only exist for the next fix.
Thanks

Catchy melody, well performed - but the big strength is in the lyrics.
Put any bunch of musicians together and you'll find someone who has a bad story about heroin and friends.
This is put together really well - powerful words.

Wow man, this is really great!
I love the arrangement, and your singing is top-notch.
I lived the nightmare you are speaking of way back in 1969-1972. This tune tells the truth, no holds barred. KUDOS!
Be well!

I liked this song a lot, all the parts are interesting. Once again your production is very good. I really like the sound you get on your recordings, especially the drums and the guitars.
Anyway, great lyrics, melody and vocals. This is a great song for sure!

When my wife and I were in Liverpool a number of years ago a young woman, like the skeletons you described, asked us for some money. My wife offered her the rest of the fish and chips she hadn't eaten and the girl took it and kind of disappeared down a dark alley way. It was a very sad scene.
You've hit the nail on the head with this one. Great effort.

Hi
It's funny how this one resonates with people in different ways.
Having lived in London for a while it was about the gaunt figures who haunt Camden and the West end but it seems to have a wider effect
Thanks for dropping in

Love this song, once i downloaded it i listened to it everyday on my iTunes library i'm (sometimes) a repetitive person (when i want to be).
I hope this song becomes one of your hits in the charts, and that comes from all my heart and what's great about your song is that it isn't mainstream it's not emo, metal or anything it's got it's own genre (in my opinion, someone else could think differently)

That's a really nice thing to say.
My influences are such a broad spectrum that sometimes I think that because I'm not in a category then people won't be interested.
Glad you liked it so much it's on repeat play which is a bonus for me in that it means someone liked it enough to listen more than once.
Thanks for dropping in and you kind comments
cheers
