Lyrics:
"It's dawning...Now the time is right to fly
Oh!"
"Good morning
A witch comes home with the milk
Putting her broom against the wall
Silently..."
You are leaving me very soon
On a Montgolfier baloon
I'll pretend that I am sleeping
I hear you creeping---
Out of the house now
"Good morning
The sign of the absent host
Turns gold under the dawning sky
Silently
Very silently..."
You are leaving me very soon
On a Montgolfier baloon
I'll pretend that I am sleeping
I hear you creeping---
Out of the house now
Don' take a flight in the middle of the night
But in the morning, before the sun is not so high
Early in the morning...
You, Icarus Montgolfier Wright
Now the time is right to fly!
I won't feel alone
I'll be fine on my own
And I'll be always home
Wherever you may roam
'Keep on flying round and round
Until you learn how to fall down
Come home anytime, Icarus!
This is the secret between us...'
I won't feel alone
I'll be fine on my own
And I'll be always home
Wherever you may roam
You are leaving me very soon
On a Montgolfier baloon
I'll pretend that I am sleeping
I hear you creeping---
Out of the house now
Don' take a flight in the middle of the night
But in the morning, before the sun is not so high
Early in the morning...
You, Icarus Montgolfier Wright
Now the time is right to fly!
"I'm leaving on a balloon
Before I wake you up"

Like the way this mixes facts and myths into a dreamy love song, gorgeous tune and sumptuous arrangement - very glad I listened.

lovely piano and voice

Very nice tune. Love the upbeat pop feel (like vamp in "Hey Jude"), the easy going nature of the arrangement and vocals. There were several times that the singer is under pitch, in places that stick out as opposed to fit stylistically, and I would consider correction (only at the beginning of words/lines) or a re-sing.
The concept has an epic feel, yet is always grounded in intimate experience, with a very cool poetic surreal literary framework. Really nicely done. Fab concept tune/arrangement.

I love so many things about this song. I can hear Yuki Takahaski doing this. Sorry I'm a huge YMO fan. love it love it.

I really like the piano and vox. The whole mix has an air like effect. The change at 2:23 really gives it the dynamics it needs. I enjoyed it.
Thanks for sharing.

Love the chord progressions of this song. Well composed and put together while still maintaining a loose and organic feel. Kind of a cool voice sound, reminds me a bit of Fiona Apple and her "Extraordinary Machine" album. I also get some Beatles and XTC influence too.

Hey, fascinating lyrics.
Jazzy kind of Beatles tune.
Enjoyed!

has a slightly ethereal quality. Love the way it moves.

This is one of the best things I've heard at MacJams in a long time! A lot of thought and effort have gone into this arrangement. It's really tight. I've got to now check out more of your work.
I would like to point out that the sound got a little distorted at the end and the voice is a little to forward in the mix, but the song is so strong that I can easily overlook that.
Really, really wonderful work. I really, really mean it.

...and I must say that I really love this! It's inspiring!
