nice. how did you record your acoustic? my opinion, such as it is, would be to approach the issue in one of two ways; first, take the acoustic and record it via the pickup, if it has one, and since it is a celebrity, i assume it does. this version will sound a little harsh, and the mids and highs will have squashed all lows from the universe. then i would reccomend recording a duplicate track using some type of room mic, pzm, snowball, or hell even an sm57 will do. you will notice this signal has no high end, only mashed together lows and midlows. by taking both tracks, and feathering thier volumes, and perhaps adding subtle reverb and echo to only one tone, you can get a really decent finish this way. the second way to do it is to take a clean mic'ed recording, copy and paste it to another track, and then using GB4's acoustic tone presets, the eq, and reverbs, take both sounds in different directions, one high, one low. getting the really tight slap of the bottom strings on one track, and the nearly hissing highs of the second track. then mix them together into one huge tone.... my time with GB have taught me alot of ways to get great tones without having all kinds of top shelf instruments or mic's. it has also taught me of its limitations. the key is to use GB4 against itself, and come out the winner...heh. the melody on the song is wonderful, and light, but to me, the recording tones dont do it justice. any thing i can do to help you with this, in my own meager skillset, i would love to be of assistance. i favorited it, downloaded it, and loved it! Hello A good and very well played composition. I second some of the other comments about the sound. Razorkiss' tips will make it a more balanced sound with better highs. Have you applied any EQ to the recording as it stands? A boost of a 3-4dB around 7-10000Hz might brighten things up a little (also add a little bit of reverb). that's beautifully played. I think the lead high part needs to be up in the mix a little more, but that's just my ears saying that, and they don't work as well as they used to.
