Description:
I am resurrecting some of my older compositions, and re-mastering them. This one was really one of my first GarageBand recordings....when I was just learning how the stuff worked. I dont remember any details about the recording itself, other than the hand percussion which was added later by my dear friend Vaskan Hovagimian...aka jimmy the drummer...
Obviously there are parts in this that i would prolly fix now, but the original GB file has been lost.
I miss recording these wacky jammy things, and although I have some more improvisational jammy material recorded with the band, they are re-arrangements and cant be posted here.
Anyway...enjoy....here is a link, if you want to compare:

The beginning sound almost like someone playing a glass bowl with water in it and using their wet finger around the rim of the bowl. Very cool sounding effect. Love all the guitar work you did on this. The PRS sounds great through that Line 6. A very trippy thing going on throughout this whole piece. Sounds good to me on a production level as well.
As we use this GB and Logic we learn the ins and out of making it all come together, and considering this is one of the earliest pieces done on GB, I'd say it was a great start, and still is a very cool listen.
Thanks for the listen,
Ed

piece of music you have here, the zen bowl too, I like the art work as well.
Really great chops with u'r axe as always. The sweeping percussion gives it a sense of movement and the overall feel makes me want to take it home with me. So I will.......... I listen for what'cha got coming next.

is cool- I'd love to hear your band play some stuff like this live.As always I love your sound and ideas.Do you ever bend a note even slightly out of tune?
ziti
bending notes...i try to keep them in tune...the downward bends with the wammy are harder to keep in pitch...but I'm getting it..

GB 101 never sounded so good.

Yep, I like this jammy stuff, too. Spacy, fusion-y, and with a bit of Mark Knopfler thrown in for good measure. Must've been a blast!
Dragonas
Pretty nice piece for one of your first attempts way back in the day with GB.
I haven't heard your other stuff, so I have no clear frame of reference, but this is great bluesy jammy rock stuff.
Carlos Santana meets Jimi Hendrix.
Nice!

like the remix. much more cohesion now. Which is not to say I didn't like the one on the CD. And normally, I'd be drawn to a less commercial mix but somehow, this one seems to fit the tune a little better
stratcat
liked this one, been listening to this on my iPod for quite a while now. One of your coolest jams.
Stay thirsty my friend,

Very much enjoyed this ... a Hendrixy vibe coming through in places and the synth sweeps are the perfect complement. Guitar work is stunning, but that's par for the course. I love the subtle-but-intense percussion too.
Love the artwork ... it's like all your tie-dye T-shirts blended together. :)

Wow, I love this! Such a great sound! Technically you're spot-on, as ever, but compositionally I thought it really hit the spot too, in a way that these kind of tracks don't always manage to do successfully. I'm very impressed, basically. Can I play this on my podcast show at some point?
ziti
i would be honored to be in your presentation!!!
thanks!

My english is very basic, but I'm a good listener.
I can't tell about the notes or so, but I can tell this music of you made me feel a sense of "urgencia", like a rush hour, like being in a big citywith people walking fast and me standing, just listening to this in my ipod. And I will.
Gracias for such a big piece!
macoco.
ziti
i am honored!
