i told you... ian is everywhere.
oh yes, cool tune too. reminds me of a band i was once in too. ironically the band name is similar to this song name. coincidence? i think so!

I was kind of feeling it, but then that dreamy guitar solo kicked in and I really got it.

May I ask why you left the band?

I felt like we did as much we were going to do.... and it came down to we wanted to do different things.... however.... what became the great motivator to me leaving the band was I sat down about a week before quitting to watch the Oingo Boingo Farewell Show Live DVD which was recorded in 1996....
I sat there with my mouth hanging open....dumbfounded.... I was already a fan but missed out on seeing them live.... I was floored by just the first song "Insanity" alone.... right there during that first tune I thought to myself that if a band can't deliver on that level...and be that daring to venture into very different sounds and styles then what's the point?? .... seriously.... Oingo Boingo
In short I was bringing in ideas that were deemed as a little to "weird" for the other guys.... and I was writing about subject matter that made them look at me as if I had lost my marbles.... They wanted to stay in the direction that we went on the first album and I wanted to change it up a bit more.... freak it out a bit.... so basically it just became obvious that the marriage did not work.... with that said we are all still cool with one another and it ended as well as it could have so.... no harm.... and hey we at least have one solid record to leave on iTunes for people to still find..... thanks for listening.... peace and future....Ian

great recording. i appreciate the fact that this sounds edgier than the typical "alt-rock" radio fare.
and yes, that farewell show is one of the best performances i've seen on dvd. danny elfman is a genius, and the band had such amazing chemistry. that's definitely one show i regret missing.

It always makes me a little sad to hear your songs Ian.
It's so obvious that you put so much of your heart and soul into all of your work - you have great talent, work ethic, and most importantly great musical spirit.
It would be beautiful to see you really "make it" in this industry but unfortunately I think there is less and less space for people with your kind of versatility and vision.
You really deserve it.

NOT!
Not the genre I choose 24/7 but once in awhile it really feels good. And this time it did! So thanks for posting here at MJ!
