Description:
my friend Johanna wrote this poem for her grand daughter and she asked me to put it to music. Months later I finally got to it. I was just trying to bust it out and get it done because I said I would and I like to keep my word. This is the result. I am actually very suprised by it. I think it turned out to be one of the prettiest things I've done. It's just two apple piano loops and a vocal. Very different than anything I've done before, but I really like it.

This is lovely. I really like this song. You sing very well and this makes me want to cry because of all the emotions here. You did a great job
Sounds very beautiful !

Not sure why you chose to use loops for this. Consider using an original piano bed. For someone who listens to a ton of GB tracks, this is perhaps the most overused piano loop, even tho this track uses a very slow BPM version and a nicely balanced and realistic MIDI piano sound.
Altho it is lovely and intimately conceived. A lovely simple track.

The words, your singing - and the mood. Very nice!

these piano loops are overused - but as a 'non-loop' person - I am unaware of them - and they sound beautiful on this piece. Vocals are very intimate. Lovely song and recording. What mic are you using?
Thanks for sharing.

like I was saying, I was just going to slap this thing together so I wouldn't look like a complete jerk and it kinda snuck up on me. I may try my hand at the piano on it, but if you've followed my music up to this point you know that patience in the mixing stage is not my strong suit.
I recorded the vocals on a Behringer B-2 LDcondenser mic.

the poem is beautiful and of corse the loops are clasic . Nice tune and I love your vocal on this man !

...of how simple an excellent song can be.
I'm not troubled by the loops at all. It sounds like a guy playing piano and singing, to me.
Very sweet lyrics, and a lovely job of setting them to a melody and singing them...

All that matters is that Joanna and you like it. If anyone else likes it then that is jam to go along with your bread and butter. Very good singing. Thanks.

I've been goofin' with the piano sounds and I may pencil in a different loop some day.
Thanks for listenin'.

so this song sounded beautiful and not like a pre-recorded loop (since I have not listened to many loops), as many have said, the vocals in this convey the emotion of the lyrics very well
