Pretty much self descriptive in the title. I get a kick out of checking out different pics to go with the the piece and combining them in Photoshop:)
Imagine yourself going through a very mysterious jungle deep in Africa or the Amazons! But you have your ipod on, cause you know you got to have it were ever you go :^)

Sounds like an adventure exploring the acoustic possibilities of your guitar. Great performance!
Thanks

Love the Leo Kottke feel. So rich.
Roxylee
sound wonderful! I can hear the difference- so...new! Bill, I love the little harmonics things you do in this. Your playing is flawless and energetic. So when are you getting an hour on the radio? You really should have a spot so everyone can hear this. Well, at least there.s YouTube. :-)

and pester Ron Owens of KGO I can get him to feature acoustic fingerpicking, I know that KGO had a wonderful DJ called Peter Wilson that shock the entire bay area when he passed away last year. He had a show called "The Best Music You Never Heard". For many of you MJ artists it would be fitting title. It would be great to hear a ton of MJers on that show getting whole lots of exposer.
I hope by mentioning my tunes some KGOers got to listen to a bunch of Macjammers. I really didn't have much time to say what I had to say. It is soooo rare to even get to talk independent music on Ron Owen's show. It was a brief but amazing amazing moment in my book. That stations really reaches out to tons and tons of people.
For a radio station to break down when 3400 people voted for who's getting on the show on the Ron Owens show tape I uploaded here at MJ is really incredible. Ron Owens is unbelievably popular in the San Francisco area.
I am a real fan of that show, I missed it alot when I was in Tennessee.
Thanks Roxy
I wish you could see the cute little Jack Russell dog we have in our house. And she is my son's girlfriend's pet. She is amazingly cuddly. I never experience in my life such a cuddly dog. And her name is Roxy.
I'll have to do a song and upload it and call it Roxy named after this o soo cute dog.
Of course there was yesterday when she pee'd over the kitchen floor right before we took her out:) But she really is a treasure.
Thanks again for such nice comments Roxy!

about Pete Wilson shocking the bay area. Is that he died last year. He was one of the most popular DJ's and was quite known on the KGO tv as well as a prime newscaster.
I wish we had edit capabilities to correct our postings :)

tweak out every nuance of your instrument onto the recording. From the fret peep, to those wonderful harmonic overtones. Quite the journey
thoddi
Add a groove from a set of congas or bongo drums to this piece and the jungle feel will be complete:)
Great playing as usual. Enjoyed it:)
Feter

Hedges & Kotke territory! Nice!

to expect academy recitals with the name and works of thetiler. You certainly have not steered off the true course with this one as well. Great everything in the production and delivery on this.
Marastique
This is a really amazing bit of guitar playing you have here. I really feel a Leo Kottke vibe too - those strings sound so rich and true.
Lovely work with the harmonics - although I agree with thoddi that congas would be great with this, maybe a live conga player would work best if you had one living in a back room or something.
a superb post!

Wow Bill, your dexterity and skill with that geetar are always a marvel to listen to.
I wouldn't normally associate acoustic guitars with jungles but you've done a fine and evocative job. Great little build-up towards the end.
Moviz
I had the dexterity in my fingers that you have, but it would be no good without the talent that goes with it and that you obviously have. Another great piece of music from you Bill with extra brightness, cheers M

I'd forgotten just how fantastic a player you are, Bill. Awesome stuff! I see you're talking about radio airplay with Roxylee %u2013 maybe I could play this on my podcast music show at some point?! It's not quite radio but pretty close to it and would see your music getting out to a new audience.
thetiler
I would be delighted for you to play it.
Thanks for stopping by!
pablatone
that was really good. thanks.
I haven't heard that kind of pickin in quite some time, you do it well.
My only critique would be that some of the reverb reflection were too far out front in the mix, and I felt they were somewhat distracting.

Immensely Elegant. Makes me wonder what the heck am I doing with my guitar.....definitely not as much as you are demonstrating in this tune.
Absolutely Beautiful!

A little lost in just playing...something that happens to alot of acoustic guys...the guitar has so many great sounds that we tend to just play and forget to impose our will (themes, melodies). It makes for great background music, but hard for people to remember as a piece.
Great sound and great playing
Ed Hannifin
The artist formerly known as Shaky has a point, as regards the beauties of just playing, and the need to then take those sounds and make melody and theme from them...
BUT, I've listened to enough of your stuff, Bill--and let's face it, you are one prolific dude--to know that you more or less do it all. Sometimes you sound like your playing for just the joy of stringing together licks and sounds, and sometimes you improvise, and sometimes you compose right on through, and come from a strong melody. So for my money, it's all good... Different songs have different strengths and attractions than others...
This is another very strong recording with nice use of the spaced mics and reverb...
And I'll bet as I work through my email list, I'm gonna find another song from you. I'm just betting...

Ed for typing down so much.
You are sure an acoustic guy! Though I know you love other styles. It seems acoustic stuff and you are joined at the hip. And so glad you are!
