Description
I recently saw Mira Nair's early film "Salaam Bombay," about a street kid in India. It is partly the inspiration for this song, but also generally I think it is about finding yourself in a "wild west" bigger and more complicated than you could have ever imagined.
Hopefully there's something universal in those themes. All thoughts as always welcome; particularly interested as always in other instruments, or parts, that you imagine when you hear this.
Thanks for the click and listen!

Lyrics
Lost Boy Surrender
I had forgotten the stars
Bright may they shine forever,
Blue light, moon light
Neon sparks replaced,
But at the heart of it all,
Don't let my bright coat deceive you
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights.
("Wild West" Hum)
Knew I'd grow old from the start
Nightly I try surrender
But I know I will fight
Through my darkest hour,
And through the rush of it all
Don't let my tight frown deceive you,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights.
("Wild West" Hum)
I had forgotten the stars
Bright may they shine forever,
Blue light, moon light
Neon sparks replaced,
But at the heart of it all,
Don't let my bright coat deceive you
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights.
("Wild West" Hum)
Knew I'd grow old from the start
Nightly I try surrender
But I know I will fight
Through my darkest hour,
And through the rush of it all
Don't let my tight frown deceive you,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights,
I'm just a country boy,
Lost in the city lights.
("Wild West" Hum)

You have a very soft and restful voice. And a sweet gentle song to go with it.
