Ever been caught, like, WAY SHORT by someone you were pretty Into?
Well, there's Only One Way Out - Walk On.
Think of that Something Better and Get to Goin'.
Go find that friend, that girl called "Chicago".
That's all this is about; Gettin' to Goin'.
The BASS walks right along with You.

Lyrics:
CALL HER CHICAGO
Chicago on my mind
Three in the morning
Got Chicago on my mind
I don’t care if it’s her real name or not
Cause she treats me fine.
Between Leavin’ and Goin’
There’s a difference, you know
With one you’re on the Run
The other, you’re on the Go
You’re a sweet looking woman
But your answers never
Tell me nothing I need to know
I ring up your number, nobody answers the phone
Come knock on your door, there’s nobody home
I get some funny answers for the neighbors on the hall
You’re a sweet lookin’ woman
But I see no reason to believe you at all
Well, you might ask what I’m doin’ here
Won’t have to ask me again, I’m about to disappear
Three in the morning
I got Chicago on my mind
Well that’s not her real name
But I don’t care
She treats me fine
Chicago on my mind
Three in the morning
Chicago on my mind
When the sun comes rising
The news will be up and down the telephone line

Guess I regressed to Three Chords again, for the moment.

You've been writing and recording some great stuff recently Coop - not bad for a sick guy ;)
This is the 3rd song of Coops that I've had the pleasure to play on over the past few weeks, and the other two are just as good. I always enjoy doing tracks with Coop - he writes simple songs with soul, and as I play simple bass, it often works out pretty well. I love the harmony Coop does here - a first I think - and his guitar playing is as subtle (that's a joke!) as ever.
Let's get back to working on the other 2 Coop.
Cheers from NSW!!

VERY nice! My teenager told me to turn down the music; I guess I was enjoying it a bit too loudly. I love the harmony too..

So Now I'm frightening Children?
Being in the wrong relationship Can be a Big Drag, but the Good Ones make up for it (and seem to last for years).
Best stay away from rtcooper.net because there are a few songs on there that will Really raise a Ruckus!
Thanks for your Spin and your note.
With my very best to You,
Cooper

Lovely guitar playing throughout (that sound on the lead is sweet), and love that vocal - Dylan's more soulful brother. Also dig the harmony. Nice bass, Neil, and a good, rich mix. Nicely done. Peace.

One way or another, Dylan taught me all I know. Not all He knows, however.
I don't try to write like Dylan, nor to sound like him, but something in my stuff brings Dylan to mind. This song makes me think of James Taylor and Elvin Bishop. All in the ear of the beholder.
Neil put the "Avenue Strut" on this one, just like it needed.
Thanks so much, Brother.
With Best Regards,
Cooper

like your style- you have major soul.Your blues guitar playing is killer.Did you mike an amp? Sounds like an old Princeton turned all the way up.Fantastic!
rtcooper
Ahaha.
YEAH, a Really Old Princeton
BUT, prior to the "new" Princeton, this one was Hot Rodded by two MIT undergraduates for Direct Out operation. No negative feedback, however, just a limited (and at times stressed) amount of power.
It's very cool, but they won't sell it!
BUT, they will rig Tube amps for direct out if you provide the amp.
(I'm thinking a Chicago Blues box!)
Thank You and best regards,
Cooper

to mention- that's some great in the pocket bass playing from Neil!
DWL
Yeah, just about right :-)

Great blues sound from all corners. Vox, guitar, bass and drums. DL'd. Will enjoy over and over.

Thank You, Brother.
The Key to me is the Strut on the Avenue BASS provided by the Drivin' Wheel from NSW, Neil Porter.
Understated and On The Game (As Always. Must be the weather or the Rum, down there!) Ahaha.
Thank You for the Spin.
With Best Regards,
Cooper

This has an authentic roadhouse sound to it, a real live sound.
And Coop, the solo just outright shows who's boss!
A true live band sound.
rtcooper
You're Broad Minded and too kind.
This IS THE Garage Band sound.
Though, Neil has some Mojo in his kit that brings the BASS to life.
Everything else just follows.
Always Great to hear from you.
With appreciation and best regards,
Cooper

I was once told by a coach,
Grab It and Growl
That was never to be my sport, but the Strat works fine.
Thanks Many for the Spin, Brother.

Really fine blues - great lyrics/vocals. Love the easy feel to it and the guitars and bass are like siamese twins.
Cheers

SAY, LEN
Thank You, Brother.
It's a bit "Old School" but feels good to me.
Maybe it's some sort of magnet that pulls me in, eh?
very best regards,

Fun to play harp with this one! Way to shred floating on a sea of bass (is that a sea-bass?) Nicely done fellas. Sounds great up and down the Internet line.
