Description
Finally a real live performance of one of my pieces! This piece is called "After work, late at night" and is based on my first piano pieces from my Moments-Suite

Matthew Weiss plays the violin and Bill Clarke the piano.

They are jamming on my other pieces as well since some days and hopefully will send me a recording of them as well, which I will post here.

André

Andreas
This is very beautiful - the violin part was particularly so. The title so fits this piece for me. What a wonderful thing to have players of this quality play one of your tunes - I must listen to more of your music.

Thank you,
Neil

Bravo, André
This is fantastic news, André. Classical Jam -- that's much better than Classical Gas!

You are a pro -- not just notating your creativity with Sibelius, but having your works performed live. Matthew and Bill capture the intensities and delicacies of your score. May you know success in your endeavor, like a songbird from the Zuider Zee setting out on a long journey.

Thanks
Richard,
I do my best, however starting this coming week, I will not have so much time any more for music. My job forced me to take day shifts now, instead of the night shifts I had before. So this means that my musical time will disappear almost complete.

Making sense of our day job
Andre: Somehow, the day job must be a necessary part of your journey. Maybe it will give you opportunities for observing people, greater insights into the sea of humanity. Tobin has written some remarkable songs which are simple observations of everyday people in a restaurant.

I hope you will be able to realize your potential in music. Perhaps you need this time away from composition in order to come back at it with a fresh ear. It seems like an unjust turn of events. First, a bad publisher, now a change of work shifts. Keep pushing through. I will pray that you be granted the time to compose.

Indeed, your family is of prime importance. They are the song of life. You are taking care of number one. Tiler (Bill Furner) and I just had a discussion today about those artists which have made it to the top but in the process have broken family relationships. You are doing the right thing, Andre. God will reward in unseen ways.

Thanks for posting here!
For some reason I thought 'modern classical music' relied on dissonance to appear relevant. Thanks to MJ's very own ComposerClark and yourself I realized that I had no idea what I was talking about. I've listened to many of your compositions now - such soothing, uplifting music. Always great to be able to look up to an accomplished composer/musician. The clarinet/piano combination being favorite, I cannot but admire the quality of your work. And yes, Neil and macoc are right, nothing can match the energy of a live recording. Lovely! The piano still needs tuning though;)
