....With the awesome tasty fingerwork of Mr. Mark.
You just keep sounding better and better. Time to get that album out there.

Well, you're just phenomenally musical, no question. You play your classical intro with beautiful expressiveness (I'd like to hear you play some Tarrega some time!), then move into the swing feel incredibly naturally, as thought the two styles were always meant to coexist. The way you play them, they do! Bravo!
Ibstrat
to LOVE playing Tarrega. He really knew how to write for the guitar. I'm a little mad at him though- it was his transcription of Malat's "Sereneta Espanola" that started my left hand on this weird nerve problem.I'm really flattered that you like my playing- I am a huge admirer of yours!
HenriROGERsoloandbands
Brian is absolutly right .
Very good idea with the intro before the jazz comes in .
Bravo for the bass lines too .
Ibstrat
for checking out my song Henri- your support means a lot.
rtcooper
Had a Pro teacher who amazed me with stuff like that.
That Sixth finger you have is sure Handy, eh?
Total Blast.
Compliments and regards,
Cooper
Ibstrat
I didn't want to let this out, but I'm using my nose to play the bass line.
Moviz
playing as always Mark, but also the tone you get is all your own. I loved the classical part at the start and as has been said, the way you just move seamlessly into Jazz, Wonderful, regards M
Ibstrat
Moviz- much appreciated!
Ibstrat
Not sure if there is a market for solo jazz/blues/ragtime/country/bossa nova/new age/classical electric guitar... Thanks for the comments!
Feter

Great combination of moods, and a lovely piece of music. Playing is great, and the guitar sounds sweet. This one had me moving! Nicely done; you never fail to impress. Lovely stuff. Peace.
Ibstrat

sloparts
and this is no exception. Loved the prelude, but it took off hen you got into the jam.
Great sounding as always my friend, and very cool playing.
Thanks for sharing Mark.
Be well and be cool,
Ed
Ibstrat

you wrote this? damn. this is genius stuff, man! very nice dissonances everywhere. sure some of the bass lines are 'jazz standards' but all the directions this goes in and effortlessly resolves all the time is just awesome! seriously cool!
Ibstrat
I like messing with stuff like this- there are people who do stuff like this WAY better than I do (Martin Taylor,Joe Pass,Lenny Breau,Ted Greene, etc.)I don't think I'm quite at the genius level yet. Thanks for listening to my stuff- I'm in awe of your musicality and production skills!
jiguma
I've come to decide that its not your recordings but my ears that are a little dull (from an audio point of view of course, your playing is NEVER dull!) at times :)
This is really beautiful - not sure what else I can say. Lovely!
Neil
Ibstrat
for continuing to listen to my lo-fi stuff Neil. I always appreciate your comments!
Jim Bouchard
There's such a light touch that the forceful movement of this swinging piece sneaks up on you almost unnoticed, but it's undeniably there. The coordination involved that it takes to play this is one thing, but it's really the style you put into it that impresses me. And I like the guitar slapping, too!
Ibstrat
very much Jim.I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Skean
You're so good at playing the guitar always so clean.
This filled my ears with joy.. Love it.
Thanks for sharing it here to us all.
Take care

Virtuoso.
Perfectly understated Production Values.
Beyond, even, what I was prepared for (and that's High, already!).
Compliments and Best Regards,

I couldn't even dream how to play like this...
Just pure fantastic, and you have such great timing and are able to make sweet music, although you're using a very advanced playing technique.
BRAVO:)
Ibstrat
a lot.I'm a big fan of your music.
peacepiano
Love your classy guitar playing. Thanks for sharing!

Wonderful meld of classical and swing, Mark.
First tune since returning from Vermont.
Couldn't have asked for more.

Ibstrat
Bob.Now get back to work!
DWL
Beautifully done.
Apart from the fact I just couldn't play like that I wouldn't be able to sustain it over a 3 minute piece :-)
Cheers
Dick
Ibstrat
you liked it.I appreciate your comments!
macoco
I have a guitar jazzbox that could have good use of your fingers!
You play like I wish!
I hope for Brian to have a musical life. And that's a a good thing.
(pardon my Tarzan english!)
macoco.
Ibstrat
for the comments- glad that you enjoyed it.
Vic Holman
Mark, excellent playing with out doubt. With that said, I was really impressed on how you blended the 2 styles into one, the transition came off smoothly.
Ibstrat
for listening to my song.
shiner
This is an amazing piece of guitar work. I could listen to you play that all night.
Excellent.
Ibstrat
for the great comment- glad you liked it.
Scott Carmichael
I'm sending you my guitars when I get your address!
sheesh
Ibstrat
due to this continuing hyper-sensitivity in my left hand I can only play 1 guitar that doesn't hurt my hand, so having more would be kind of useless. Please don't quit cause I need to steal ideas from you!
Scott Carmichael
a little over a year ago my hand got so bad I was having a hard time playing at all.. now it seems to be almost normal... a slight occasional twinge is all.. I sincerely hope your hand comes all the way back...
VicDiesel
A very nice groove.
I think you should have left the slaps in....
(So what's the name of your next piece going to be? Prelude and toast?)
Ibstrat
the slaps are there(the guitar not my son) mabe not loud enough.I was thinking maybe "gigue and gig" for my next piece.
egobandit
A real treat thanks downloaded!
Bob6stringer
Wow, it's just always great to hear you play for us. You have the guitarist's equivalent of the gardener's green thumb... a blue alternating thumb? In this case it's swingin.
lengold
I am just awestruck by what you do. This is simply superb and a real treat to listen to.
Cheers

Ed Hannifin
...with your stories, Mark...
Enough lying to the fan-base. You do this with your MIND. Admit it. Do ya good...
Ed
Ibstrat
are correct Ed.
Keith O. Edwards
I'd say this the most perfect guitar playing since Charlie Christian.
Ibstrat
is my idol- Thanks!
Daugrin
Another stellar outing. You can do this with such grace, I love it.

Relic67
one can only gape in amazement.
just absolutely wonderful.
you're a guitar master! great swing, you're playing bass at the same time, and the voicings are incredibly tasty.
makes me want to go get some jazz guitar lessons... I just might do that, though I won't get to your level!
MarkHolbrook
when kids get into music played live! My son's teacher said that music was the best thing for my kid. Gave me all the reasons I needed to dump him into GarageBand, new guitars etc...
