I sure don't have perfect
pitch but I sense something is not quite in tune during the intro.

The vocals are deep, resonant and sound wonderful. I'd really love the see the lyrics as they sound great.

The simple guitar work is wonderful (maybe its just my bad ear on the tuning, but I kind of hear it). I think some background ambiance would add a lot to this beautiful song.

I hope you will do a version two with some additions and corrections. This is really very nice.

I agree with Mark about the tuning
The guitar sounds a little out of tune to me as well. It's still a beautiful song and the sparse guitar part would be perfect except for that little flaw in the tuning.

Your recording of the guitar and vocal is clean and rich John and what I can understand of the lyrics are very good. (my bad hearing, not your recording is the problem) It would have helped me to have the lyrics on the page.

Still, I'm impressed with what I hear, and can't wait for a redo on the guitar part and a post with the lyrics.

Thanks for sharing this lovely song John,

Be well and be cool,

Ed

It's really hard...
To not come off sounding cliche with a song with this subject matter, but you seem have done it. I think it's the heartfelt vocal performance, there is an honesty within that makes me think this is coming from a very personal point of view. Well done... tune up the guitar and try to smooth your punch ins a little better (2:01), and you need nothing else to make this a really great song. I would listen to this again if the guitar was in tune. Well written and played.

Great Vocal but?????
That vocal is so warm and human it hurts? Amazing work. I think however the song is too slow to be so long. just my notion. also I had to comment after you slated "drunk all the time" for being too long and repetitive. I really didn't take offence nor is any intended with my comment here.
I think you missed my point! the song was for a broken man who needed very few excuses to go "rambeling down town with his friends" I was trying to capture the monotony and tragedy of just drinking yourself to death. Shit one of my Favourite movies is leaving Las Vegas. Sad git me? LOL
I really love your song it's got that sense of tragedy I love. I cant wait to hear the rest of your music.

PS Constructive critisism is great THANKS

PPS I cant spell either LOL
