Description:
this is an old record which was recorded on tape about ten years ago. I wrote the song myself but admit to not being able to resist incorporating the riff from Yes' -Siberian Khatru - right at the end. It was recorded here at my home on an old four track machine, if fact a portastudio. It is about relationships in general and the control you lose by being in them. I have disabled ratings because of the thingy.

Love it. I think it sounds especially good because of the whole sound.

Well-written song.

Woofer, keep them coming.

This sounds really great for a portastudio! Like very little hiss!

The song has great guitar/epiano work left and right that work well in the head!

As usual this is a great sound, great lead, great song! Really nicely done!

Tascam424 I think - though I imagine I used an Atari somewhere along the line to sequence it. I remember being quite pleased with it at the time.

Thank you again Mark for your encouraging words.

Cracking song John &mdash 08/31/08 - 08:41:17 AM
Really motors along and there is some very fine playing here.

Love all the synth sounds you've used and how they function as other percussion instruments.

Cheers

rock on. Nice piece of music with some unexpected twists, you cross paths with your music and style. Great playing and interesting phasing and structure.

also known as the Amanita Mascaria - a gorgeous magic mushroom. I drew this last week while I was in Majorca. My first attempt at drawing.

Thank you for your comments and for listening,

Fabulous &mdash 08/31/08 - 05:10:01 PM
I love the vocal! And the authentic analogue sound. And the keyboard wigout. Just delightful in every way, and I mean that.

A very compulsive little rocker. Love it.

Great tune John &mdash 09/01/08 - 03:41:17 PM
It's always worth a visit when I get the notice that you have posted a new one. I still own a tascam porta studio although its about worn out. I also have a fostex as well. Those old 4 tracks could be pretty decent recording devices, once you figured out their limitations. This is a very enjoyable tune. Well written, played, sang, and recorded as always. Thanks for sharing.
Peace
Guy

dont you love the good old day how about 2 track live. I really enjoyed this . LOve the guitar part kind of rolls like hot tuna in a way. Some cool keys in this almost progressive in some parts. I see what you mean by the yes at the end. Very cool song!

Great Song &mdash 09/06/08 - 04:33:23 PM
But what else is new from the Woofer? I loved the organ sound and playing near the end, but then everything was done well.

Great song and great sound.

hi Tim &mdash 09/09/08 - 01:44:55 PM
thank you, I think most of the sounds on this came from a Roland sound canvas. not a bad sound even though very basic.

John.
