I took the liberty of changing the lyrics, not a lot, and I hope the content is still the same, but the rhyming scheme is different.

I found the vocal range rather "challenging".

Don't worry about the lyrics. You made the song your own, which is the point of a cover, and the life of a song (when a song is lucky enough to have a life).

Your version is more spacious, less cluttered than the original, and it has a better more dramatic construction, with rhythm changes and all, which it lacked so far. I like the organ arrangements, especially the distorted one at the end.

I half expected Chris Isaac to start singing after that intro.... Very nice sound here (the drums sound GREAT!), I dig that choir during the 'storm' and a good set-up to the final chorus. Whew!

I really like the drums and bass on this, pushing the track along with great energy and almost a sense of urgency - appropriate, I think, for the song. The backing vocals are great, and your lead vocal is really good, almost with a Neil Young quality to it. Lovely use of organ, and a terrific production, with a great mix. The arrangement is really good, with lots of changes. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

finally got around to listening to this. really great job, man. you know well as I do how hard it is to cover these guys but you've done it well and have made it your own. great job, and a great original by the hamlet machines
