Description:
I was watching The Incredibles with my daughter about the time this challenge started and it reminded me of one of Racerat's songs a while back. You just can't go wrong with Mr. Incredible so I figured this would be the song. The tones were a bit challenging for my vocals but I got it done somehow.

Thanks to Phil for letting me cover his song. I didn't change much really, just added a short riff and pumped the guitars a little. Definitely a fun experiment.

Nick,

I was honored when you asked to cover "Action Man", and holey-frijoles did you ever cover that puppy! Covered it up in gut-busting guitars and bruising beats. Great job with the vocals, too. The reverb gives it a very convincing rock-hall feel. Good work, man! Awesome.

Yeah I love that photo. It just seemed like a good idea. Thanks for the opportunity to cover one of your songs. I was originally going to go a different direction with it and ended up with this version. I couldn't quite match your kickin' solo though.

can't go wrong with a racerat tune. Love this and it's mission impossible vibe. great guitars and awesome vox. points for the incredibles sample too - best animated movie ever!

Yeah definitely one of my favorites. I can watch it over and over with my kids. I just had to add some samples too. Thanks for the nod on the vox, I had recorded the vocals earlier but they didn't sound good so I changed the style and redid them all the day before I posted.

I listened to the original and while that version is good, this one is great. There's a lot more energy here, more drive behind the whole song.

You did great on the vocals my friend so no worries. Great mix except I feel the Lead in the break could have come up to get it more in your face. I mean that's what the whole song is about is "Action" man.

Great track, Kudos for doing it sooo well.

More energy is what I was going for (or is it more noise? :)

I hear you about the solo needing some more punch. Looking back on it I would like to make the solo twice as long and really drive! Maybe I'll do another version just for the heck of it.

Thanks Dick. Phil started me off with a great baseline. From these it was all icing on the cake. His version had this great Stone Temple Pilots guitar sound. I tend to make everything a bit heavier.

This rocks, and then rocks some more. Great drums, and the guitars are terrific - lovely sound. I think your vocal sounds good - a nice rockin' attitude, and a cool performance. I'll have to go and check out the original. Very nicely done. Peace.
