A lot of thought went into this piece. Fun. The
harmonies are good. Takes me back. to when radio
music was jolly.

Why thank you pooey! Yes, this is one that's been in the pipelines for a long
time and I had a lot of fun doing those harmonies.

Fun! &mdash 11/03/04 - 12:38:59 PM
Yep, a lot of fun. I wish I could understand the lyrics. The
sound is very Beatles inspired. Quite nice.

I`m not the Walrus &mdash 11/05/04 - 09:02:25 AM
Good work - this sounds great - about 100 times better than most pop
music sung in Japanese.
I like the lyric about escaping from the staggering drunk walrus before he
falls over - if I`ve read that right!

can you say uchi? &mdash 11/05/04 - 09:51:32 AM
The fact that I now only have about a 3rd-grader grasp of
Japanese (all those private lessons slip away if not
practiced) didn't stop me from enjoying this song a lot,
not just for it's cute Japanese-pop sound, but also for the
Lewis-Carrollian lyrics. My son however, who is in his 3rd
year of Japanese in High School had to listen to it many
times to hear the lyrics, because he kept laughing and
giggling so hard he'd fall out of the chair :-) I sent him off
to school with the URL to this page to infect his class &
teacher (bwahaha.) The only nit pick I have with the song
is that, as far as I know, there are no documented cases of
it "raining walruses", nor are there any known accounts of
walruses eating sheep (maybe a good headline for a New
Zealand tabloid?), but I'll let the rest of the lyrics remain
an enigma. Very enjoyably silly song!

I'd like to hear what the rest of the class makes of this! And I hope the
teacher doesn't find any mistakes - I did get some friends to check my
grammar for me but they were probably too nice to point out half of the
problems.

I once performed this song in front of my Japanese class at University (end of
year punishment for not doing my homework one week) and it went down
pretty well there. (Just thought I'd share that dull little anecdote with you...)

Perhaps this is the prequel to "Octopus' Garden." Could this possibly be Ringo
Starr's next big hit in Japan?

Love the crafty chord changes and catchy melody. Sounds
to me like Ween & XTC in a Japanese massage parlor.

It's nice to see people having fun with music. Sounds a bit like Gorky's Zygotic Mynci (their early stuff). The japanese even sounds like welsh - to me anyway.
