Lyrics
a song for angels
a song for lovers
a song for the girl
who took my heart away

a sound to sleep to
to dance in the rain
a night to remember
a day to forget

lover's fade and dreams they die
songs are forgotten tears they dry

winds of fire turn to rain
crimson colors die and gray
you see the light you see the path
you see the dark and heart it's call

oh the lyrics were from a jam from a while ago when i was missing an ex it wasn't directly written about anything though the lyrics just sort of came together on there own.

Nice song Chance
I love the sound of your voice on this one my friend, and while the quality of you voice is great, the lyrics aren't coming through as well as it needs to in the mix.

Here's a couple of suggestions that might help.

Lower the level ov the rhythm guitar maybe 2 or 3db in the mix. You'll have to experiment with it a little until you find what works. Remember, you already know the lyrics, but your audience doesn't so if what your singing isn't clear and understandable to them, they'll just quit listening.

I would also use an graphic equalizer to add maybe 1 or 2 db in the 1k and 1,25k range. Again, the key is to experiment with it until you have clarity. Remember, it only takes a little so don't go overboard and use more than you really need, it's make it sound to harsh. That will bring out a little more clarity in the vox so the lyrics come through better.

Keep at it Chance, your getting better at it all the time. Did I mention this is a very nice song by the way.

Be well and be cool,

Ed

Great
Hi

This is really good, especially the 2nd electric guitar which I think gives the song real character. I'd agree with other comments on the vocals , but sounds like you did this for a reason, and it's just the mix. Main thing is the song, which is great

Cheers

thanks
thanks. yes i'll probably bring the vocals up a tad i did this recording a bit ago just was listening to it the other day and thought it sounded good, ofcourse if i listen to it too much ill decide its bad as i always do with recordings lol. i listened with headphones so that may be why it sounded volume good to me.

Great song
I love the lyrics and the singing is, as always, excellent. You have a soulful voice. I'm with Ed on the vocals; I think they could be a little more clear. But this is a tiny nit, and if you're aiming for this sound, then it's all good! Very cool. Nicely done, my friend. Peace.
