Ridd thanks a bunch for this one (1)
Description:
this song started as a hip hop tribute to the LA Dream Team (I discovered a pretty neat plate reverb). That didn't work out so well, and i ended up layering a bunch of orchestral drums, piano and synth over it. Being an impatient sort and not having a complete vision, I sent it to my boy RSorensen and he threw some vox, marching sounds and guitars over it (seriously fast too, I got a package of files the next morning). Now it is a huge indie prog indulgence. I love what Ridd did to this, actually very close to what I was thinking, but undoubtedly better. hope you like.

Are you guys really the Flaming Lips?
What a great track. Everything about it is great, to be specific.

i was quite pleased when this arrived on my doorstep, as I think anyone here would be with one of your songs. it's just what i needed to get my juices flowing. Great mix and I like the way you ended it with the crash. Thanks again man it was my total pleasure.. looking forward to the next one, whatever it will be :)
cjdaley
and we follow. It's amazing or your collaborations are seamless. You guys were separeted at birth. You'll have to find a cool band name for your common efforts, now that you have an album closer.
mr.turtle
there were any justice, both you guys would be making a comfortable living doing this.

in every aspect one can think of. Different and captivating, it pushes the envelope right to the edge of the edge. This is truly sonic delight in it's purest form. You two can and should be very proud. Thanks for the free bee.
Peace

I like the whole theme of sounds

Very Cool! Love all the different sounds and textures in this. And I love how it feels so mellow, despite the constant movement and beat. Awesome guitar work. Overall just a really engaging, interesting listen. Thanks for another great one, guys!

Very positive uplifting track, thanks I enjoyed it :-)

I like the determined lyrics delivered in a laid back way. The delivery of the lyric combined with the tense soundscape makes it sound like a madman plotting his schemes. I'm with Mr. Turtle, why is it that Nickelback is a household name are you two aren't (yet)?

Original and creative. M2 and Ridd, two of my faves.
Did not disappoint.
Enjoyed it much.

amazingly well done. Production is as good as the Flaming Lips, which is saying A LOT. But it sort of sounds like you decided to make a Flaming Lips song, which is all right, but it's so damn well done that a tweak or two would make it stand more on its own. My thought.
rsorensen
thanks ash - i hear what youre saying. Its probably my fault that it sounds SO much like the lips. We did cite them as an influence for this, but my vocals, slide parts and choir probably push it over the edge in that durection. Thing is, whenever I sing in this key or higher, this is the voice that naturally comes out. I considered trying to sing it differently, but decided not to fight it as natural performances are best. As for the other lippish elements, well I just think they sound so cool I couldn't resist :) Anyway, point noted - thanks!
LunaTrick
good combo - like it!

yes the lips. i will have to vacuum up all the confetti off the floor in the morning.
i believe you guys did an outstanding job. great layering of all the tracks. a very hypnotic song and very hyper guitars at the end. i dig this.
Ridd, do ever sleep?
chinaman2
unbelievable production. everything here works. loved it
yrp
know much of the Flaming Lips except for Zaireeka and their most known singles but this is very good regardless of the comparison.
It also amazes me that rsorensenīs contributions were all done in one night.wow!
Congratulations, both of you!

I love every thing in this one.. Cool collab you2.. Cheers

I think cjdaley has hit the nail on the head - you guys were separated at birth. A great collab, and a tribute to the seamless way you guys work together. Love the persistent, determined beat, and the wonderful counterpoint with your vocals - sweetly sung, and tinged with a melancholy edge. Guitar just gritty enough to dirty the whole thing up, and brilliant buildup. Sweetly done. Kudos to you both. Very cool. Peace.

Yes I hear shades of Flaming Lips/Grandaddy/Dr Dog.....this stands up with the best of em. Great stuff
