the voice is great. perhaps the high notes little bit to loud. anyway, this song is innovative. like your work

Hi k &mdash 09/09/08 - 09:48:43 AM
A couple of thoughts
Maybe you could consider the following
a) emphasize the square-wave games console like noises and blips and push the sound more in to the 8-bit realm
b) try placing pauses (for effect) in the rhythmic pattern you have created here
c) a deeper bass sound
d) in places bring in and out a more standard drum beat (without removing your existing rhythm track)
e) some kind of sinister drone oscillating away in the back ground to complement the bas pulses you already have (think tesla coils)

just a few off the top of my head suggestions

Loving this! Your work is always so evocative of so many emotions! Don't know if you plan that or if it's just inherent, but either way, it rocks!

Thanks for sharing!

It seems our appreciation and compliments for each other are reciprocal. Every time you post something I'm anxious to hear both what you've written and how you're going to express it.
You truly have the ability to take one elsewhere with your music and your voice... artistry...

This song in particular, your voice is nigh on perfect and stunning.
Thanks for sharing your talent with this community.

Your vocal sound and style here is a mix of Bjork, Cindy Wilson (B-52s), and Harriet Wheeler (The Sundays) ... I think ... it's complex. It took me a few minutes to figure that out. And your vocals are the real strength of this piece. I think it's way too short, however. It sounds like the start of something. Please post your lyrics. Great stuff, as always.

Nice start. &mdash 09/11/08 - 10:51:56 AM
I like the irregular drumbeats throughout. Its a little surprising that you ask for advice as I think your work has a consistent artistic vision. As is already stated some of the bass, synths and drums could use maybe a little more "punch", but of course we would not want to obscure the lovely vocals. I wish the track was a little longer too. Siouxsie and the Banshees style electronica. Keep up the good work.

would you allow me to throw this into a blender? it would not end up as a smoothee. but rather a subtle razor on the wrist of beauty ..... never cutting. loved the preview.
