Description
well... Song number four now... More stunning words by Jim...

Certainly made me think... In more ways than one...

'Quiet Time' can happen anywhere... Surrounded by people... or sitting on hill somewhere...

Grab some and... Feel it...

Lyrics
A gift to your self is some time.
So switch off your head, only thinking in mime.
Away from the violence. Grab on to the silence.
A peace that is truly sublime.

When was the last time that, you sat? On a hill?
In a room without chat?
Clear out your mind and soon you will find
a calm underneath your own hat.

It’s Quiet Time, so fix your head,
It’s Quiet Time... is what I said.

It’s time for a head-holiday.
A long overdue breakaway…
Take my advice; you don’t have to think twice,
there’s nothing to get in your way.

Feel how the hands of the sun
chase worries away on the run.
Soak up the peace of a perfect release
Chill out your mind, now it’s done….

It’s Quiet Time, so fix your head,
It’s Quiet Time... is what I said.

[Guitar Solo]

And when there is no more noise,
and they’ve heard the last of your voice.
Now you’re at rest and this time is your best
Never come back. That’s your choice…………

It’s Quiet Time, so fix your head,
It’s Quiet Time... is what I said.

A gift to your self is some time.
So switch off your head, only thinking in mime.
Away from the violence. Grab on to the silence.
A peace that is truly sublime.

It’s Quiet Time, so fix your head,
It’s Quiet Time... is what I said.
[Repeat]

This is great
A really interesting and thought-provoking sentiment, very well-crafted lyrics, and an excellent track. The arrangement is great, the instrumentation is cool, and the vocal is spot on. I think the effect on the vocal works very well here. Nicely done. Peace.

I was in town one day
stopped at a set of lights, when I overheard an older businessman type saying to a bunch of younger 'suits', "don't you ever have some quiet time?" in reference to their constant, inane chatter about nothing in general. So I got to thinking....and writing.

I really like the treatment here Andy, one of the best!

Cheers,

Jim
