I was driving back home when my car broke down.
It was a hot sticky day and I was outside of town ,
Some fixing was needed at the side of the road,
‘Cos it looked to me like it was gonna explode.
Something had to be done the day was turning out sour,
So I rang myself a breakdown that was a twenty four hour,
I waited a while for them to get to the phone,
When an answer machine told me there’s nobody home.
Nobody home but we’ll be back in a while,
Back in a while you’re gonna have to re dial,
Nobody home we’re out ‘til who knows when,
But we’re a twenty four hour so you can call us again.
I spent about an hour walkin’ to and fro,
There was nothing I could but go along with the flow,
So I tried once more when I got the tone,
