Description
An old song I wrote in 1986 and recorded in 1999 as part of my course work while I was on a music course.
during the early 80's most of my girlfriends parents didn't like me much so I kinda wrote this as a little way of getting back at them. on reflection I cant say I blame them for not liking me. If somebody like me came home with my daughter right now well....
I had a more agressive hook line but on my mother's advise I changed it from "P**s into the wind" to "Sail this ship into the wind" Anyway it was kinda fun to revisit such old work. I must have a further dig through my back catalog.

Lyrics
I'm a rider on the cold north wind
This old highway has become my only friend
now no matter where I go the answer is always no
No we dont want no riders on the wind
Now your Mamma never liked the way I live
I guess it is not in her nature to forgive
She'll never understand what really makes a man
so I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind
I'm a driller and a digger for oil
I've worked this old life of sweat and toill
I'm trying to break free from you people tellin me what to be
I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind
I'm a rider on the cold north wind
this old highway has become my only friend
In my hour of desolation I seek a little inspiration
I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind
This old highway has become my only friend
now no matter where I go the answer is always no
No we dont want no riders on the wind
Now your Mamma never liked the way I live
I guess it is not in her nature to forgive
She'll never understand what really makes a man
so I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind
I'm a driller and a digger for oil

I'm trying to break free from you people tellin me what to be
I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind

In my hour of desolation I seek a little inspiration
I guess I'll sail my ship into the wind

Good guitar sound. The drums and bass are not terribly lively. I could use a break here and there.
