Fan List
Description:
A slow instrumental that ranges somewhere between funk and rock ballad. The rythm guitars sound a bit like Queen's "Cool Cat" and the solo guitar sound like Steve Rothery from Marillion. I hope you like the tune.

Nice lead playing &mdash 11/05/04 - 08:02:09 PM
Pretty mellow. I like your lead playing.

I think your composition needs some further
development. A bridge or a different rhythm change up
would be nice.

Keep it up.

Change is good... &mdash 11/06/04 - 12:50:27 AM
Very nice sounding jam, though the beginning before the
guitar lead was a bit long for me (my opinion). I agree with
Mr. Oval that change is needed to create interest for the
listener. I know this is an instrumental but for me a nice
vocal track from one our mac jammer artist would
compliment this piece. As for the production or sound it is
very nicely done!

Really &mdash 11/06/04 - 07:18:12 PM
nice to listen to at the end of my day and sitting by
the fire with that hot brandy.

Good production, clean and well balanced. Just
seemed a little short or maybe i just wanted to hear a
little more. Hope you do some of that again.

For divercity try walking a scale to the next octave up
or down and riff there for a full measure or two then
return. A guitar effect that is not over bearing, as in
the second 8 count at the begining, is what's called
pick bass. Used a lot in carribean style as well as R&B
cuts. Makes a good fill untill the reel lead gets there.

I REALLY enjoy your style.

thanx a lot &mdash 11/07/04 - 06:25:14 PM
Thank you all for the postings. I didn't expect them to be so positive :-))

I made that song on a G4 / 400 and played two rythm guitar tracks, a solo-gtr and a bass-gtr track. You can possibly imagine, that that's a lot of information for a G4 / 400 to handle. The machine is getting reeeaaal slow.

I will continue working on that tune when my new iBook has arrived.

And I also thought about a nice'n'mellow vocal track.
Let's just see where it goes ;-)
