The Flight Of Owen

Description
My mate got wasted and entered himself into a band competition. The next day some dude rang him up and asked him when his band which he drunkenly named 'the flight of owen' could play for them. So he came to me and told me we had a gig in 2 weeks and we decided to go ahead with it as a bit of a laugh. So i wrote this song and we played a few others that are on this site i.e sand in your vagina, sex wee and carpe diem. It was fun.

Deserving discovery
Something really infectious about the low fi aspect of this
track; made me imagine you two guys working on this in
your actual garage (or dorm room, which is, in most
cases, the same thing). Great performances, perfect for
this tune... especially the exceptional guitar solo. Nice
singing. And then that great change of pace coda... punk
pop genius. You guys definitely deserve being
discovered. Hope you can add to your repertoire soon!

Deserving discovery
hey :)
thanks very much for that. You are 100% correct in your assumptions, it was recorded in a college room hehe. Thank you very much for your comments they were very uplifting :)
I'm the only person in the song (double tracked the harmonies). except my mate tried some beat boxing and a lil bit of the distorted guitar. He also helped me with the recording...good bloke. Thanks agains

They Might be Giants!
Your vocals remind me of They Might be Giants. Fun song, I totally dig Low-Fi. I'm really late to the party on this post so please forgive the lateness of my reply. : )

This is great
First, I love the story. This is a great college rock song.
Really nicely done. The rawness is perfect. A little punk/
pop hipness. Great song and great performances. Much
enjoyed.
