Description:
This songs name is the name of my old hardcore band back in the late 80's early 90's the words are from a song we used to play the music is completely different/ I did have this on MJ's about 2 and a half years ago I tried to mix it a bit better but the gb file was gone so this is the best I could do
Lyrics:
Holdon
I could be dancin
social insecurity
hold on
hold on
I could be dancin
social insecurity
hold on
I could be screamin
oh lets go
make us all free
shuffle shoes
so laid back
take him out
never come back
hold on hold on
shuffle shoes
so alone forever blue
take him out back
never come back
through the freedom of thought
the absence of reality
any idea can be correct
beyond outside conscience
manipulating reason
any idea
can be correct
oh
hold on
I could be dreamin
lets all make this all free
hold on I could be dancin
social insecurity
Hold on I could be dancin
social insecurity
hold on
I could be screamin
lets go
make us all free

Great name for a song (and a band!) and cool track. The stuttering guitar through the verses is attention-grabbing and slightly unsettling (in a good way) and the bass is rich. Nice drums, too, with a nice combination of patterns and elements. Groovy vocal; the effect works well, I think. Maybe another vocal would have worked well here - maybe something harmonizing higher (closer to a scream?) - just a thought. You never disappoint. Nicely done. Peace.

I absolutely LOVE your lyrics and you presentation of them is superb!!!! Is it the muffled sound? :)

Touch of the P.I.L sound on the bass.
Great groove and like the guitar chops.
Doadars Uncle
I like the feel. It's like some of the alternative wave stuff I listened to in the eighties.

This would play just right in a playlist including Clash (off Sandinista) cuts and Gang of Four (Songs of the Free). Nice sharp edge on those guitars. Great track all around, truly inspired soundscape and evocative lyrics.
lengold
your best here Tim. The track carries you along with it all the way and really rocks. So nice to hear your vocal higher in the mix and to be able to make out the lyrics (which are great). I agree, great name for a song and a band.

The first was version was my favorite of yours. This sounds close enough to it, with a bigger sound. So it's still my favorite.

Your production is stellar on this one. I'd never heard the original, but this sounds great to me.
