I hear a zephyr wind bending around corners. &mdash 09/18/08 - 05:18:36 PM
And water slowly dripping down walls into a pool. Then, you have the drums marking time and the spacey beeping. Then there is the hum of a string instrument.
Overall, this is sensuous and makes me think of dark, underground caverns where you can hide, if you want to, from everything that scares you. Thank you.

hope the sweet angel likes it &mdash 09/18/08 - 07:23:04 PM
this is a mixture of your darker sonic colors with some lighter, more hopeful ones. The background washes and trickles coupled with the cool percussion remind me a little of Christopher Franke. The portamento synth voice was OK for awhile, and faded away just as I was thinking it should :-) It had a saw-tooth quality that almost got irritating after a bit. But that is the only negative thing I can think of. Otherwise, this is the usual very cool music I come to enjoy from you. Interesting chord changes, and nice choices of instruments and sounds.

I was waiting for your comment :), thanks for it, I just have one question, that thing which you said about the quality, was it for the whole song or just parts? and describe it more to me cause it sounds ok through headphones, so tell me if there are some problems that I can fix it.

just the main synth voice &mdash 09/18/08 - 07:51:50 PM
It was just the solo portamento (wavy) synth voice, so it was just for the middle section of the piece (from 2:55 to 5:15). I think it is maybe only my opinion, other people may be OK with the sound (so, please don't think you need to change it.) I just think that it is a very harsh sound, so it should not go on for a long time without a break or change. Perhaps if it softened in volume around 4:15, then returned after about 5-10 seconds... or if it slowly changed from that saw-tooth wave to a softer sine-wave sound for a while, that would be more interesting. Just my thoughts. I hope they are helpful. Good to see a new piece from you, and wonderful photography, as usual!

Drakonis

OK now I've got what you mean, I thinked about it a lot before releasing it, but I exactly understand what you've felt, Now I'll think more and wait for more ideas to see how the harsh sound effects ears. And thanks about the photo, you can find my photoblog here:

it is a fly in a forest &mdash 09/18/08 - 10:21:25 PM
it feels dark, with many trees to fly through. it is a long journey, and the way is uncertain. the synthesizer in the middle sounds like a fly, buzzing through trees to escape. in the end, the fly finds the end of a forest and it is soft bright sunshine. it is a beautiful ending. 0x0

you're back &mdash 09/19/08 - 10:39:12 PM
good to hear a new piece of music from you. this is really lovely. the drippy sounds are a nice texture, i really like when the beat comes in. cool idea. that synth part drakonis mentioned almost sounds like an ebow to me. i didn't mind it, but it definitely sticks out from the rest of the song. nice job on this one.

Dark and yet illuminated &mdash 09/20/08 - 06:43:58 AM
Nice contrasts in the music. I like all the sounds you have used here, they all create atmosphere and movement. Where about in India are you? In the mountains? This is the image I get. In fact the picture you have put up, goes with the music really well, complete with the mist.
Very good track, esp like the drumming as well. Did you do that by hand as well? I can see you have percussion as hardware?

Thank you Diviner, No currently I 'm far from mountains, I'm at pune, but green and rainy now 3rd month in a roll.

But what you have imagined is not far from what I felt myself even it's close.
And about the percussion no, it's done by software.

Drums is done by mix of software and hardware, and the hardware is midi controller.

And the image of the song, that's not India, it's Iran.
