Description:
I've been working on this - on and off - for months on Garageband after an idea I had about 4 years ago. It's nowhere near finished but I'm lost. I have no idea what to do next. So I give up! Any suggestions/contributions are welcome - especially vocals! If you have an idea for a vocal but don't like the structure of the song then let me know and I can adjust it or add things or take parts away as you wish.

it's relentless !
i get like that sometimes . . . you create something
that can only occupy it's own space . . . and it can't move
forward !
i'm up for collaboration . . .
go and listen to dennex, if you think it could work . . .
get in touch . . .

cheers

I reckon this song could use some dennex. And you remind me of Gorky's
Zygotic Mynci, who I love... Feel free to download this and do with it as you
will, then send me a copy and I'll hack that to pieces and so on... what do you
say? I've not done a collaboration with anyone on here before so I don't know
how it works but that seems the sensible thing to me.

my original idea for this was that it would be backing music for a stupid
existential comedy picture book that I wrote a few years back. The story was
about a cow, who didn't exist, going to find his lack of a maker in order to
find out what the deal was. I've abandoned that idea though (this music didn't
really fit with a narrative) so the topic's your call. My email limit is 10mb/
message so there should be no problems there - otherwise iChat me (same
address as the email)... I'm trying to keep iChat open whenever I'm available
these days.

It deffinitly has a latin overtone to it with a little flight
of the bumble-bee and sparkes my interests. It is
clear and though pretty well produced could use a
little expantion in the presence. You might listen to
your local latin radio to get an idea as to where you
might have some brakes and inter-diaolog between
the percussion and the main theme with other
instruments. It's very Rumba. Try using, or writing,
some drum beats as horns and play them via the
synth package. Sometimes it works out really cool.
Listen to QUERES A BAILAR, for the results.

In this, at the bridge, near the 3/4 mark you could
bring up the guitar a bit and maybe add a little more.
You might see what Carlos S. is doing.

The thing moves and has a life. It is very well
oriented for vocals with lots of words. I did a few
around this just a minuite ago. Will contact via the e
in the near future. hasta pronto

That was went to be, bass lines and transpose to
horns.
Those llittle hidden key parts in the back ground is
where the brass goes.

I've tried to download this three times and havent't
received all the data. Skinny lines down here or line
interference which i get a lot of most of the time, has
intrupted the connection. will try again sometime.

Thanks for the ideas. I like the one about writing for one instrument then
transposing to another, that's one I've not tried enough. And I agree about
the guitar bit in the middle (I got tired and frustrated with programming the
guitar solo and so gave up - I have no keyboard and my guitar playing just
isn't up to scratch). If you'd be willing to put some tracks on top of this then I
think between you, me and the dennex donor we should be able to come up
with something...

...although everyone else is still welcome to join in!
