Description
Song number 6 of 6... The last offering of our collaboration... Jim will enlighten us with his recollections... (I hope... :-)

A good feel to this one... I hope you agree and feel it as I did...

It was fantastic to be involved in this collaboration with Jim...

"To infinity and beyond..." (Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story)

Lyrics
Cards on the table, you choose
A part of me you can use.
Entranced by your calling,
I sense that I’m falling;

and I can't lose
A feeling, that I can't lose...

Dressed to kill, you slay me,
With words and looks to be
A picture of pleasure
Your eyes are like treasure,

I’ll never be free
From you, I’ll never be free...

Cards on the table, you choose
A part of me you can use.
Entranced by your calling,
I sense that I’m falling;

I can't lose
A feeling that I can't lose...

Diamond eyes - you’ve pulled me in
Diamond eyes - I’m wanted
Diamond eyes - you pull me in
Diamond eyes - I’m captured
Diamond eyes - you keep me in
Diamond eyes - I’m spellbound
Diamond eyes - you pull me in
Diamond eyes - I’m wasted...

Nice
Guitar and mix is great. Loved the vocal melody and I especially like the tambourine leading the way in the back ground. Nice job. Thanks for sharing.

there's
a driving beat that pushes the song forward, though the delivery remains mellow and sensitive. Nice synth break.

I vaguely recall the story behind this one...
...and it's not a normal source of inspiration, namely the QVC shopping channel!

I came home in the wee small hours from a friends and was a bit worse for wear (as proved by the fact I switched on the TV at 3.30am). A salesgirl was doing her best to sell fake diamond necklaces. She had the most stunning eyes ever. I was hypnotically fixed for about an hour before I crashed on the sofa. I dreamt about what I had just seen...woke up; she was gone.

NB. the very last line....that says it all. I have never watched QVC since; not even to see if the mystery girl with the 'diamond' eyes reappears.

I'm amazed at sources of inspiration - Andy, you took that story and did us proud!

Thanks for putting all 6 songs up - makes me want to concentrate on lyrics again.

Cheers,

jim

Man.....
I've been here 21 months, albeit, I haven't been able to participate much in the past 9 of those... sadly! (Lack of a suitable internet provider) Anyhow, I'm utterly amazed that; although you've been here 10 months longer than me, we had yet to cross paths, until now. I was obviously missing out on some great music! I shall give them all a listen in time, but your newest addition is unique, especially the vocals. Everybody hears a little touch of somebody else in most peoples stuff but you have established your individuality, as a whole (collaborative). You meld well with one another and were predestined to create a new style and sound! Kudos on a nice piece.... production is solid, could hear everything clearly, and thats not always an easy task to bear. I'm so glad I stumbled on to you guys! Look forward to hearing the previous 5 installments. Nicely done indeed!

Respectfully Submitted,

Alvin
