Description
So I've been just throwing down ideas as they hit me, and this one was a confluence of wackiness. I got the idea to try using a jazzy drumbeat with an acoustic song. then i thought, why not add a surf kind of riff over it? In this case, I took some lyrics that I had floating around for a while and I tightened them up- actually chopped them down is a better word for it.
I tried to take it in a little bit of a different direction though- I broke out my strat to make some surf guitar noise over the alternating verses. Then I got the idea to do a really reverb-heavy lead part a la Stones. I hope you dig it.
And yes it is about the same girl. Shut up.
The drums were Garageband loops (well still are- I chopped them up a little) all other instrumentation is yours truly.
