You start the fire (1)
Description:
I demure!
This is a tune done at the Felton Pilot studio and finished on GB, may be considered an antithesis project of hooks and standard expressions for roots rock n roll structure that carried that genre from the fifties through the seventies and into the eighties and is still played in about every bar-n-grill across the country and about every continent on this planet.

It's a taste of MeatLoaf, with the honey bunny in the back ground,.... something, ala, everything that was rock'en back in the 50's........ And there might have been some 80's Stray Cats, who too, might have played something comparative to this piece.

I just might be worth the three minutes of your to check it out and tell me what,,, the....... tune makes you think of.

?Got, your duck walk'en shoes ready?

Lyrics:
The diction is well articulated, so you should be able to hear them.
Besides there is nothing astoundingly enlightening or miraculously significant about them.
Just some basic rock plot verbious chatter.
Bit is fun.

Thanks a plenty &mdash 09/25/08 - 09:11:46 PM
for the complement and interest.

Everything on this is live and real except the piano which was done on a Yamaha DX7. Some of the artists in making this have been gold/platinum award performers and techs.

i hear some meatloaf influence here. i love big productions. this is a broadway tune waiting to be sung! great tune. production is a little muddy, but some compression, limiting and a bright eq could fix that. the mix is nice and everything is sitting in great spots.

I would like to have more brass and the like in some of my pieces again but just can't that real quality I would like out of GB. The last band I did was was with 13 including me. Fun but a lot of headaches as well. Getting into heavy metal was the answer and I found making armor nearly as satisfying as doing music and a lot less hassle. But doing music is the greatest, most expressively gratifying art from there is and we all strive for greatness. Don't we!

You, as so many here have some greatness with your work as well. Keep rock'en.

This is hip-wiggling good... hard not to like the energy and music. So... is that you singing? You playing guitar & stuff too? And did you write this? Sorry, you didn't tell us much in the description. The band and singing is really excellent, and the music is wonderfully written. The mix, however, is badly marred by losing a lot of high end... but that is my only gripe. If it was done at a studio, I'm not sure why the equalization would be goofed up like that.

Anyway, super piece of music here!

Drakonis

Your right &mdash 09/30/08 - 11:05:42 PM
It is one that I enjoy listening to when it comes up on itunes rotation. Yah. that's me on vocal. It's the one trained part that hasn't abandoned me yet. The music end of this is with a number of really talented, selected, players some with 10-20 years of experience and the techs' have produced gold and platinum records. The original layout was with members of a band that I sang with for a while. On this take, I did it my way. I do have a rights contract for promotion with my publishing company River Trip Music.

As for the tonal quality, sorry I'm trying to do the finishing on this, and other works, with ears that went through twenty year+ of doing music and then that much time more again with hammer pounding cold steel plate, forming replica medieval armor for full contact sports. Ears, frazzled, lost a lot of the upper frequencies like some pitches of static, crickets, small birds, shakers, etc. and darn, some of the tones with ladies and small children voices. At times that might be a blessing though. So as for getting the abject milages out of what I doing. I'm doing my optimum. It all comes down with age. So my suggestion is; DON'T GROW OLD.

Well, thanks for the positive part of the comments and I understand the other parts as well but alas. I guess it's time for me to quite huh.
