thank you feter, &mdash 09/23/08 - 10:48:30 PM
Tony Rice is my guitar hero as well, that's pretty cool that you could hear his influence in there!
I pencil tooled the other instruments in- piano and squeezebox, the mando is real, percussion was EZ drummer.
thanks for checking it out.

I know &mdash 09/24/08 - 05:09:44 AM
that I can 'Fave' your songs before I listen these days; they are so rounded. Great busy toe tapper of a song with a lovely sound on all the instruments, played with great dexterity, regards M

Like the way you set up the song &mdash 09/24/08 - 05:34:32 PM
the bass is driving hard and then the guitar takes over and it is awesome my friend. Very good picking. then the piano starts to work of the guitar. The accordion has a decided French flair to it,

What's so cool, is that you make it all work together some seamlessly. Excellent recording and production. Kudos

Be well,

CSP

Alright! &mdash 09/24/08 - 06:21:02 PM
Thank you guys very much, I'm glad you liked the tune. I was writing that piano part for a different instrument and loaded the piano by accident. I liked the way it sounded so much that I modified it a little and went with it. A happy mistake.

Thanks again.

This reminds me... &mdash 09/24/08 - 08:48:07 PM
...of New England contra dance music, or the sort of things that Bare Necessities used to do so well...Especially when the piano comes in...

I'm trying to imagine Gandalf a-gallopin' t' Minas Tirith to this one, but he somehow ends up all in white and with a Stetson...

I love the way you've recorded your guitars here. Very even recorded tone, and well suited to their space in the arrrangement.

If I had spent as much time with Louis L'mour as I have with Tolkien it may have had a different title.
Thanks for givin' it a listen.

I'm happy to to hear you liked it, I'm enjoying being able to play so many different instruments without all that annoying practice.

to rule them all... funny how Gandalf had different names depending on how folks percieved him...

great flatpicking... bluegrass.. is a first love.. your sound is warm and natural.. and your playing is fluid and precise...

excellent Paul

I'm really glad you guys took the time to listen to this, and even more that you like it. I think I ran into my speed wall on this one. I'm barely holding it together on the bridges.

thank you again!

wow &mdash 09/26/08 - 05:37:00 PM
this is really nice, love the drums with bass and those gently strummed chords. very moody, perfect for a soundtrack (if they still made soundtracks that weren't promotional vehicles). just an excellent track.
